GT Neo 2 vs 12X: Display & Design
Hereby, We are comparing the design of the devices, which is the most important factor for many people all over the world.
Xiaomi 12X features a similar design as Xiaomi 12 Pro. It has a metallic flame with a glass panel on the back. There’s a center punch-hole on the front with the protection of Gorilla Glass VICTUS on both sides. The device weighs around 176g with a thickness of 8.2mm.
When considering the Neo 2, It doesn’t include any glass back or a metal frame. The device has a side punch-hole with the protection of Gorilla Glass 5 at the front. This is a thicker& heavy device considering Xiaomi 12X, with a thickness of 8.6mm and weighing around 200g.
On the other hand, the GT Neo 2 have a 6.62inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The screen body ratio is around 92.6% with a pixel density of 398ppi.
Xiaomi 12X is coupled with a 6.28inch FHD+ E5(25%more battery efficient) AMOLED display with 1100nits peak brightness. The device also has A+ ratings from Display Mate with Dolby Vision. There’s an 89.6% screen body ratio with 419ppi pixel density.
Both of the devices have been coupled with HDR10+ with a 20:9 aspect ratio. However, if we have to choose a winner here, we will select Xiaomi 12X especially.
GT Neo 2 vs 12X: Battery & Charging
In the battery section, GT Neo 2 has provided a 5000MAh massive battery compared to Xiaomi 12X 4500MAh battery. The charging is similar to 65W super dart in GT Neo 2 and 67W in Xiaomi 12X.
In this section, we have selected GT Neo 2 as a winner.
Processor, RAM & Storage
Both devices have many similarities in this section too. Both devices offer SD 870 5G flagship-grade processor altogether with LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 3.1 storage support.
On the other hand, GT Neo 2 has provided a larger VC Soaking plate(4129mm. sq) considering 2600mm.sq provided in Xiaomi 12X.
We would consider a tie in this section.
GT Neo 2 vs 12X: Camera
Xiaomi 12X has been coupled with 50MP IMX 766(7P lens) flagship sensor while GT Neo sports a 64MP. The other sensor provided in 12X are 13MP wide-angle(123degree) with 5MP telephoto/macro lens. On the other hand, Neo 2 has an 8MP ultra-wide (119degree) with a 2MP macro lens.
While talking about the selfie, GT Neo 2 has given a 16MP front camera instead of 32MP on the Xiaomi 12X.
The other features like OIS, dual-tone led & 8k video capture has also been provided to 12X, which we didn’t see on the Neo 2. In the camera section, Xiaomi 12X has won the comparison.
UI & other features
Xiaomi 12X has launched with Android 12 based MIUI 13 while Android 11 based Realme UI2.0 has run on Neo 2. Both of the devices have stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Type-C, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
On the positive side, Xiaomi 12X has Harman/Kardon tuned speakers, Infrared remote control, tri-band GPS, and Bluetooth 5.2(instead of dual-band GPS & Bluetooth 5.1 on Neo 2).
Colors, Launch & Price
Both of the devices have offered three colors option
- Neo Black, Neo Blue, and Neo Green on the Neo 2
- Black, Blue, and Pink on 12X
Since Realme has launched GT Neo on September 22 in India with two variants:
- 8GB/128GB at Rs.31,999
- 12GB/256GB at Rs.35,999
Xiaomi 12X had not launched currently in India, It is expected to come to India in January 2022. We are giving the Chinese price of the device:
- 8GB/128GB at Rs.37,500
- 8GB/256GB at Rs.41,000
- 12GB/256GB at Rs.44,500
GT Neo 2 vs 12X: Conclusion
The 12X from Xiaomi is, however, Rs.5,000 costlier than the Neo 2. if the device is launched at the same price as China, You can choose the device if you have the budget. You can also go with GT Neo 2 in that price range if you can’t expand more. You will never get any problem with any of the devices.
