iQOO Z7, the latest addition to the iQOO smartphone series, has been officially launched in China. It is the second smartphone in the Z7 series, following iQOO Z7i and Z7x, which were launched earlier. The iQOO Z7 packs in some impressive specifications that make it a worthy contender in the mid-range smartphone market.

Specifications
The device comes with a 6.64-inch FHD+ 120Hz IPS LCD display with a pixel resolution of 2388Ć1080. It boasts a screen ratio of 91.06% and is the worldās first LCD display with a 1200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. The screen also features hardware-level low blue light and a peak brightness of 500 nits.
Powering the iQOO Z7 is the Qualcomm 6nm Snapdragon 782G SoC, making it the first smartphone in the world to use this chip. The device features a 3002mmĀ² VC vapor chamber for efficient cooling. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, which can be expanded up to 8GB via the Virtual RAM option, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
It features a triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 64MP (S5KGW3, 1/1.97ā³, OIS) primary sensor, a 2MP (GC02M1B, 1/5ā³) depth sensor, and an LED flash. The rear camera can record up to 4K at 30fps. The front camera is a 16MP (S5K3P9, 1/4ā³) sensor and can record up to 1080p at 30fps.
The device runs on OriginOS 3 based on Android 13 out of the box and comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and Face ID for security. It also features dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an X-Axis Linear Motor.
The iQOO Z7 is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, which can charge the device from 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes. Other features of the device include Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Infrared remote control, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. It is 8.75mm thick and weighs 201 grams.
Color Options and Price
- The iQOO Z7 is available in three color options ā Space Black, Atomic Blue, and Infinite Orange.
- The device is priced at CNY 1599 (approximately INR 19,250) for the 8GB+128GB variant, CNY 1799 (approximately INR 21,650) for the 8GB+256GB variant, and CNY 1999 (approximately INR 24,050) for the 12GB+256GB variant.
Conclusion
Overall, the iQOO Z7 seems like a solid mid-range smartphone that packs in some impressive features at an affordable price point. It will be interesting to see how it fares in the competitive smartphone market. In India. this smartphone could launch as iQOO Z7 Pro, because this time in India, they have only launched iQOO Z7 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC.
