Lava Agni is a Midrange smartphone that is mainly launched for ₹15,000 to 20,000. In 2023 a new member is coming in this Series and that is Lava Agni 2 5G. The brand has started teasing this smartphone on their Twitter handle and on other social media handles, we can expect a launch in the last week of May’23.

One of the standout features of the Lava Agni 2 is its display. The device is expected to sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ 90/120Hz curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The screen is also protected by Gorilla Glass, which should offer some level of protection against scratches and accidental drops. The display is said to have a 180/240Hz touch sampling rate, which should make it more responsive to touch.
Under the hood, the Lava Agni 2 is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7050 SoC, which should provide decent performance for day-to-day tasks. The chipset is expected to feature CPU 2 × 2.6GHz Cortex A78 and 6 × 2.0GHz Cortex A55, Mali G68 MC4 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The camera setup on the Lava Agni 2 is another aspect that has been generating a lot of interest. The device is expected to come with a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. On the back, it has Quad camera setup, which includes a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a VGA lens. The main camera is said to feature an OV50A sensor, 1.0 µm pixel size, 1/1.55, and f/1.85 aperture, which should make it capable of taking high-quality photos in various lighting conditions. Both the front and rear cameras are expected to support 2K at 30fps recording, which should make it a decent choice for vloggers and content creators.
The Lava Agni 2 is expected to come with a 5000mAh battery that should last a full day on a single charge. The device is also expected to support 44W fast charging, which should allow users to quickly top up the battery when needed. The device is also expected to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and face ID for security, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.

- As for the design, the Lava Agni 2 is expected to be just 8.7mm thick and weigh around 190 grams.
- It is expected to come in two color options: Green and Black. The Black color variant is expected to be more popular among users.

- The Lava Agni 2 is expected to be priced at ₹19,999, which puts it in the mid-range segment. The device is expected to be launched soon, although an exact launch date has not been announced yet.

As per the Leaked price and specs, the Lava Agni 2 looks powerful and features loaded. This is the successor of Lava Agni 5G which was launched in November 2021, after almost 1.5 years the successor is coming.
