Motorola unveiled the Moto S30 Pro last week in China along with the Moto Razr 2022 and Moto X30 Pro but didn’t reveal whether the phone was set for a global launch. Motorola may launch this device internationally as the Moto Edge 30 Fusion. A new competitor is ready and is all set to give fierce competition to its counterparts by having good specifications at a reasonable price point when compared to its other counterparts. It is expected to step into the International markets very soon.
Moto S30 Pro – Design and colour
The Moto S30 Pro may follow more of a rounded design language; the edges are smoothened out and as a result, it will feel comfortable to hold for people with shorter hands. It has a glass back and the frame will be made out of aluminium overall it is basically a glass-aluminium sandwich design. It may come in two different colour variants, Blue and Black; both of them come with a matte or frosted finish. It may weigh about 172/167 grams and the dimensions are as follows 158.5 mm (height) x 71.20 mm (width) x 7.50 mm (thickness). Overall it will be a Smartphone with a very sleek and subtle design.
Moto S30 Pro – Display
The Moto S30 Pro comes with a 6.55-inch, 144 Hz, P-OLED display with 402 Pixels per Inch and a 20:9 aspect ratio, as a result, it will provide you with immersive viewing angles and vibrant colours. It is a P-OLED panel which supports 1 billion colours, has HDR 10+ certification and has 1000 nit of peak brightness as a result consuming content will be a treat for your eyes to look at. It has a resolution of about (2400×1080 pixels). It has a screen-to-body ratio of about 91.8%.
Moto S30 Pro – Processor
It will be power packed with the latest Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888+,5G (5nm) processor, which is an Octa-core processor based on 5nm architecture. It is backed by the Qualcomm Adreno 660 GPU. It will be able to handle your day-to-day task with ease and will be capable of handling heavy and hardcore gaming sessions with ease. It will not show any kind of lag under heavy usage and while being very powerful it is also very power efficient, which will ensure good battery life.
Moto S30 Pro – Camera
It will have a triple rear camera setup with the main sensor of 50-megapixel (f/1.8, wide) as a result it can take high-quality images with ease, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.2) and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) depth sensor. It can record up to 4K at 30fps & 1080p at 30fps. It has gyroscopic electronic image stabilization and a good LED flash.
The front camera will get a 32-megapixel (f/2.2 wide) sensor, which can record up to 1080p at 30fps. It has excellent low-light performance and can provide you with hassle-free video calls.
Both the rear and front camera supports HDR and panoramic video recording.
Moto S30 Pro – Battery
The Moto S30 Pro will be getting a 4400mah Lithium Polymer battery pack as a result it will easily last you a full day, and along with that comes a 68-watt Turbo power fast charger which will give you 50% charge within 10 min and 100% charge within 30minutes, but these are just the claims and the real performance is yet to be tested. It has a very efficient processor as a result it can retain the juice for a day-long under moderate to heavy usage.
Moto S30 Pro – Speakers
The Moto S30 Pro will not get a dual stereo speaker and will get a single speaker it will provide adequate loudness and sound clarity. It lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Moto S30 Pro – Other Features
It will include all the necessary sensors. It is both splash and dust resistant. It may have the Thinkshield protection that will save you from any potential Spyware, phishing and other potential damage from your hardware to software, giving your mobile device comprehensive security.
Moto S30 Pro – Variants
It is offered in four different variants-
- 8GB RAM paired with 128 GB of storage.
- 8GB RAM paired with 256 GB of storage.
- 12GB RAM paired with 256 GB of storage.
- 12GB RAM paired with 512 GB of storage.
There is no support for SD cards and the storage will be of UFS 3.1 type.
Moto S30 Pro – Security and Connectivity
As per security is concerned it will have an under-display fingerprint sensor which will be of optical type. It will be very fast in response and will provide adequate security to your device.
It will have 5G support and NFC support. It will include Bluetooth version 5.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e (2.4GHz/ 5GHz)
It will have a dual sim card slot, so you can only run 2 nano sim cards.
It will also have the latest Android 12 out of the box with all its bells and whistles. Motorola may also offer a definite OS update to Android 13 and three years of security updates.
Moto S30 Pro – Launch and Price
Motorola announced The Moto S30 Pro on the 11th of August 2022 in the Chinese markets but there is no news about its availability in the International markets. We speculate that it might step into the International markets soon.
It may have a price tag of about ( 320-450) $.
