Nokia is all set to launch it’s new offering The Nokia PureBook Pro in the laptop segment for students, teachers and casual users. For the past couple of years, Flipkart has been launching Nokia PureBook branded laptops in Indian markets but now for a change, a new French technology company named OFF Global has announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Nokia for the design and sale of Nokia-branded laptops internationally, excluding India. OFF Global has introduced Nokia PureBook Pro 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches in the global markets and is soon expected to launch the same in the Indian markets.
Nokia PureBook Pro-Design and colour
It follows more of a boxier and rounded design language; the edges are smoothened out and will feel comfortable to hold. The dimensions are as follows 399x260x19.05mm (15.6) / 19.6mm (17.3). The 15.6-inch model weighs around 1.7 kg which is acceptable but the 17.3-inch model weighs a whooping 2.5 kg which is massive as compared to laptops with similar specifications.
It will be made available in four different colours namely Blue, Dark Gray, Red and Silver.
Nokia PureBook Pro- Display
Both the models will feature a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) LED Backlit IPS Anti-glare display with up to 250 nits brightness and 141 pixels per inch. It has a refresh rate of about 60 Hz. The base variant will have a 15.6-inch display and the higher variant will have a 17.3-inch display.
250 nits of brightness is adequate for indoor usage but you may face a little problem if you step outdoors. The display is great for content consumption and will very well complement students, teachers and working professionals.
Nokia PureBook Pro- Processor
The Nokia PureBook Pro is power packed with the latest 12th gen Intel core i3-1220 processor and along with that comes 1.1 GHz Intel UHD graphics. It is a 10-core CPU with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.40 GHz, as a result, it can handle your day-to-day task with ease and can also complement light gaming sessions. While being a powerful chipset, it is also very power efficient.
Nokia PureBook Pro- Webcam
The Nokia PureBook Pro has a 2MP webcam which can provide decent image quality; besides that, it also has an in-built microphone.
Nokia PureBook Pro- Battery
The 15.6-inch model has around 57Wh battery capacity, as a result, it can last you about 5 hours max but the 17.3-inch model has around 63Wh battery capacity which can last you about 8-10 hours.
Nokia PureBook Pro- Speakers
It has a 4 speaker setup 4 x 8 Ohm / 1 W speakers (two on the side, two underneath) which provides a good immersive sound experience with ample amount of loudness and clarity.
Nokia PureBook Pro- Other Features
It has a built-in micro sd card reader, which provides extra ease of usage. It has a Backlit keyboard and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It supports fast charging via the USB-C port and offers up to 60% in 30 minutes. It has 2 x USB-C 3.2, 1 x USB-A 3.2 port. The track pad’s size is 14 x 8 cm which is adequately large.
Nokia PureBook Pro- Variants
Both the variants come with 8Gb of DDR4 RAM along with 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD as a result it is blazingly fast and efficient. The only difference lies within the display size, dimensions, battery capacity and thickness.
Security and Connectivity
It has a blazingly fast Fingerprint reader with Windows Hello-enabled webcam. It has Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth version 5.0.
It has the latest Windows 11 out of the box, along with all its bells and whistles.
Launch and Price
It is priced at 699 Euros (US$ 784 / Rs. 59,085 approx.) and 799 Euros (US$ 896 / Rs. 67,520 approx.), respectively for the 15.6″ and 17.3″ models. The prices are a little high for the Indian markets but it is expected to come at an aggressive price point.
