The Chinese company Realme & MI both launches their next mid-range series every year with similar price listing. The company Xiaomi has already launched their Redmi Note 11Pro device globally. While the Realme 9 Pro will debut on 15th February in Global regions while the India launch may happen after the day of global release. So, let’s compare both devices which will be exclusively available under ₹20,000 in India. So let’s begin the comparison.
Display & Build
Although, the Redmi Note 11Pro feels to be premium in hands. It has a premium glass back with 8.1mm thickness & 202G weight. The Redmi has also given out IP53 ratings to the device to make it resistant to water & dust spills. On the other hand, the Realme 9 Pro is simply aligned with a plastic back with a glossy finish. It weighs about 179G with a 7.9mm thickness.
Eventually, Both devices have a super AMOLED Full HD+ panel at a 120Hz refresh rate. The Note 11 Pro have a slightly taller 6.67inch display while 9Pro offers a 6.60inch display. Moreover, the Redmi claims to have a Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the front within the punch hole while the Realme doesn’t specify anything for the Protection.
On paper, the Note 11 Pro feels to have a premium body with a higher brightness panel (1200nits vs 1000nits) than the Realme 9 Pro. While the Redmi has a 360Hz touch sample, the Realme 9 Pro still have the mystery.
Processor & Battery
This is a very interesting part of the comparison. The Realme 9 Pro sports a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset as on Moto G71. This chipset is very powerful & Battery efficient than the Helio G96 equipped on Redmi Note 11Pro 4G. Moreover, the Snapdragon 695 offers a better Generation Cortex- A78 2.4GHz chipset with 6nm flagship architecture. Eventually, the Helio G96 uses the old 12nm process with Cortex A76 2.05GHz cores. Eventually, both devices LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 storage.
Comparing the processors, these device packs a 5000Mah massive battery. While the Redmi has provided a 67W fast charger in the box. The Realme 9 Pro uses 33W fast charging as on Realme 9i. So, we have constituted Redmi Note 11Pro for bigger charging while the 9 Pro for a better processor with 5G support.
Camera & Others
The camera is the most important thing for some people. While this device offers a 16MP selfie camera inside the punch hole at the front. The Redmi offers the world’s largest 108MP image sensor to you with an 8MP wide & 2MP+2MP depth/macro camera. On the other hand, Realme uses a 64MP triple camera with a 8MP+2MP Wide/macro camera under the hood. Moreover, you will get LED flash, AI scenes, 4K record, slow-motion & much more in both devices.
Eventually, both devices have dual stereo speakers, NFC (regional), GPS, WiFi 5, Bluetooth V5.1. Alongside with these the device may support a dedicated card & 3.5mm jack too while launching in India ( global varies with hybrid slot). At the moment, the Redmi Note 11Pro sports a side-mounted fingerprint and especially an Infrared Port. While the Realme 9 Pro has an optical In-display Fingerprint with a lack of an Infrared Port.
Colours & Variants
These devices have three colour options for purchasing. While you can buy Realme 9 Pro in Black, Blue & Green colour options. The Redmi Note 11Pro have Grey, White & Blue options for colour. Moreover, the devices are available in a wide range of RAM & storage options too. These devices have 6GB/128GB & 8GB/128GB options. Significantly, the Redmi has a 6GB/64GB base variant too. You can expect the pricing starts around ₹18K-19K for both devices with the base model.
Redmi Note 11Pro vs Realme 9 Pro
Since these phones are priced under ₹the 15-20K category, it’s become an important question, which one should we buy? So according to me, the 5G service is yet to announce in India this year. So, you should buy a 5G phone at this price. Realme 9 Pro fits best to this price segment. While you can consider Redmi Note 11Pro if you are living in a Rural area or want a 108MP camera & superfast charging paired with a Premium build.
