Realme 9pro+
The first-ever pro+ model introduced by Realme, Realme 9 Pro+ can have the best camera under midrange. While the Other smartphone brands play the game with a Camera megapixel. This time, Realme worked a lot on its camera performance. Earlier, there was a leak that Realme is working on a custom Sony sensor for the 9 Pro+. But, yesterday a popular tipster @Abhishek Yadav confirmed that the Realme 9 Pro+ have a Sony IMX766 Flagship-grade image sensor.
Sony IMX766: Specs
The Sony IMX766 sensor is a flagship-grade 50MP Image sensor. This is the same sensor, you got on many flagships like the recently launched Xiaomi 12 or Oneplus Nord. Another thing is, Currently launching the Reno 7 Series has also the same Sony IMX766 sensor at the back.
This sensor has further paired out with Optical Image Stabilisation by the Company. The IMX 766 is a 1/1.56 inch sensor with the support of DOL-HDR and all- pixel autofocus. Eventually, each pixel measures around 1.0 µm native pixels (which grow to 2.0 µm with 4-in-1 binning). Although, it should carry f/1.8 for better night photography. Even more, you will get a 24mm focal length with 88° of field View.
So on, the Realme has already confirmed to give major improvement over the Camera & Processor in mid-range phones. This all seems to be done with the Realme 9 Series. With the support of OIS and all pixel AutoFocus, you can get an awesome video with super edge detection to the object. Maybe, It offers you to get 4K video recording up to 60FPS.
Furthermore, you will get the Sony IMX766 has paired with an 8MP wide-angle & a 2MP depth/macro sensor under the hood. While you get a 16MP camera equipped in the front punch-hole.
Conclusion
Though, the mid-range smartphones offer higher numbers of Megapixels for marketing purposes. While it always becomes a challenging phase to capture & optimise that sensor. We have seen many smartphones offer 64MP & 108MP sensors while it gets challenging to capture that image in low light sessions. So with the flagship IMX 766 sensor on Realme 9 Pro+, Realme have to work on their camera optimization too for great photography.
