Xiaomi is set to launch their next-generation flagship phones named Xiaomi 13 Series in the Chinese market. There are two models, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. These were scheduled to launch on 1st December’22, but were postponed due to the sudden passing of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin. Launch is now expected between the 8th and 10th of December, 22.

- The device feature, a 6.73-inch 2K 120Hz Samsung E6 Curved Amoled Display with 480Hz Touch Sampling Rate, 1920Hz PWM Dimming, 1900-nits Peak brightness, HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision Certified, and Gorilla Glass Protection.
- The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC with Adreno 740 GPU.
- The smartphone has a 32MP (IMX709, RGBW) Front Facing Camera.
- In Rear Camera, it has a 50MP (IMX989, Hyper OIS) Main + 50MP Ultra-wide-angle Lens + 50MP (JN1, 3.2x, OIS) Telephoto Lens. The Rear Camera is tuned by Leica.
- The smartphone has up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM, which can be expanded up to 4GB via Virtual RAM option, and it has up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
- Xiaomi’s 13 Pro 5G is equipped with a 4820mAh lithium-ion battery that supports 120W Fast Wired or 50W Fast Wireless Charging. It is also capable of reverse wireless charging with a power output of 10W. Additionally, it features a Surge G1 chip for managing charging and battery life.
- The device comes on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.
- To ensure security, the device is equipped with an In-Display Fingerprint Scanner and Face ID capability.
- For Audio, it has Dual Stereo Speaker with Dolby Atmos certified and tuned by Harman Kardon.
- Other Features -> It has Ultra Frequency Cyber-engine Motor, IR Remote Control, Metal Middle Frame, and IP68 Certified.
- The Xiaomi 13 Pro is 8.38mm thick and 229 grams in weight.

Color Options are Ceramic Black, Wilderness Green, and Yuanshan Blue. There is a Limited Color option that’s Flame Red and comes with 12GB+512GB storage.
Wind-Up & Launch timeline
This smartphone was developed by Xiaomi, and it appears to be a worthy successor. With the Xiaomi 13 Pro, many features have been improved, including the display, processor, camera, vibration, charging and battery management, as well as IP68 certification. The package seems reasonable, but it will be interesting to see what price the brand launches it at. According to estimates, the launch will take place between December 8th and 10th.
