As of today 10th August 2022, at 6:30 PM Samsung has unveiled its latest offering in the wearable segment; The Samsung Galaxy Watch Series 5 and 5 Pro. After the Samsung Galaxy watch 4, the company has come up with the latest technology, advanced features and latest design for its Series 5 segment of smartwatches. The design is sort of an evolution rather than a revolution in its segment. It comes with a newly designed watch buckle, unlike Apple; it has little raised and a little broader bezels which have a functionality of its own.
The more formal — and thus higher priced of the two — will be known as the Galaxy Watch5 Pro, and it correlates most closely with last year’s Galaxy Watch 4 Classic (Codenamed Project X), it will come in either black or grey titanium, and either with or without LTE for standalone cellular broadband.
Then we have the regular Galaxy Watch 5, (codenamed Heart) and corresponding to 2021’s standard Watch 4, which can be compared as the best extension of the extinct Watch Active line of smartwatches.
Samsung Galaxy Watch series 5 – Design and colour
The design is similar to its predecessor with only slight modifications here and there in order to increase functionality. The bezel has become slightly broader and raised in order to serve the purpose of the physical rotatory dial. The design of the strap has changed from the conventional system to the magnetic system.
