Redmi A1 is a new smartphone in a new Series, but with good changes and targeted to a different set of Audiences. First, this A-Series smartphone was launched under Mi branding but after 2 years of Break, they are relaunching this series under Redmi Brand. This time this series is going to compete with Realme C Series and other Tecno & Infinix smartphones.

The smartphone features a 6.52-inch HD+ 60Hz IPS LCD Display with 1600×720 Pixel Resolution, 20:9 Screen to Body Ratio, 120Hz Touch Sampling Rate, and 400-nits peak brightness. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio A22 SoC with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU. The Redmi A1 has 5MP (f/2.2) Front Camera and a 8MP (f/2.0) Main + 2MP (f/2.4) Marco Rear Camera. Both Cameras can record up to 1080p at 30 fps.
It features up to 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 Storage, it can be expanded up to 512GB via Micro-SD Card Slot. It comes on MIUI Go which is based on Android 12 out of the box. The Smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery which supports 10W Charging. The device has a Triple Card Slot, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM radio. The Redmi A1 is 164.9mm in height x 76.75mm in width x 9.09mm Thickness and 192 grams in weight.

- The smartphone might launch in a single or 2 different variants. From the variants, the 2GB+32GB variant costs Rs. 7,499 or Rs. 7,999.
- The Smartphone is confirmed to launch in 3 different color options, the options are Black, Blue, and Mint.
Redmi A1 is launching in India at an entry-level price range, this smartphone will be a good option for those who want a smartphone for their base and not for heavy gaming.
