A few months ago, Vivo X Fold unveiled its first foldable phone globally. It has now been revealed that the company will soon release another foldable phone (aka Vivo X Fold S) to compete with the most recent Samsung Galaxy Fold 3.

The Vivo X Fold S’s display and processor specs were leaked to several certification sites and Geekbench. It will also power the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and several other premium features.

The Vivo X Fold S, model number X2229A, was discovered with a score of 1319 in the single-core round and 4045 in the multi-core segment. These results indicate that the Vivo X Fold S will be a flagship device powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

Alleged Specifications

The device will likely have an 8.03-inch inner foldable AMOLED LTPO display with a 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. On the outside, a 6.53-inch 120Hz AMOLED display is possible. It is also expected to include an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The Vivo X Fold Plus’s rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel primary camera, according to the source. A 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 12-megapixel portrait camera with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel periscope lens with 5x optical zoom will also be included. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is included.

Previously, the tipster suggested that the Vivo foldable smartphone would have a 4,700mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. It comes with the Android 12 operating system and the UI can be customised for tablet use.

Expected launch Date

Vivo X Fold S is expected to debut in Q4 of 2022. Further, the Global & Indian launch event could be held in 2023. It will be available with a premium leather back and have 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM & up to 1TB Storage option.
