Hot 11S Leaves Behind The New Techno Spark 8Pro

Earlier, Infinix has launched Hot 11S in its budget category with many improved features. But this week, Techno has also launched an all-new budget king Spark 8 pro with the same price tag. Color & Build

Techno Spark 8 pro has 4 interesting color option: Komodo beach, turquoise cyan, Winsor violet, interstellar black while there is only three color option in Infinix Hot 11S: Polar Black, Green Wave, Purple.

Designwise, both the phone look similar with 8.77m & 201g thickness in Spark 8Pro(169 x 76.8 x 8.8 mm) vs 8.8mm & 205g on Hot 11S(168.9 x 77 x 8.8 mm).

Both of the phones feature a punch-hole at the center with a plastic back panel with a glossy finish. Even, both offer a similar 90.5% screen body ratio with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Since there are very minor differences, it is a tie between them.

Display

In terms of display, both of the phones feature an FHD+ IPS display. On the other hand, Infinix 11S leaves Spark 8Pro behind with its 90Hz higher refresh rate. Also, There is 399ppi with 180Hz touch sampling rate in Hot 11S & 395ppi with 120Hz touch sampling rate in Spark 8Pro. Although, Both phones have NEG glass protection on the front.

In-display comparison, Hot 11S is a clear winner.

Processor, RAM & Storage

On paper, the processor of both phones is similar. There is Mediated G88 on Infinix 11S and G85 on Spark 8Pro. However, G88 is a successor to G85 and come with many optimizations & performance improvement. Both of the phones have Mali-G52 MC2 GPU for Gaming& Multitasking purposes.

The processor CPU structure includes 2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55.

For RAM & Storage, Both devices have 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB emmc5.1 storage support at that price point.

In this round also, Hot 11S wins with some margins.

Camera

Since both of the devices has a triple rear camera setup. However, Hot 11S has a 50MP(f1.6) main sensor with quad led flash compared to Spark 8Pro 48MP (f1.8) main Camera with dual led flash. Other sensors are similar with a 2MP depth and an AI camera. Furthermore, there is an 8MP selfie camera with dual led flash on both devices.

In the camera comparison also, Hot 11S wins the race.

Battery & Charging

Although, Both devices feature a 5000MAh Li-Poly battery. However, Spark 8Pro supports 33W fast charging than Hot 11S 18W.

 In this section, Spark 8Pro wins with a higher charging speed.

UI & Other Features

Both phones run on their own custom skin based on Android 11. Other features include a 3.5mm jack, face unlock, game mode, 1080p recording which are available on both phones. However, there is no gyroscope sensor Spark 8Pro that helps to play 3d games.

Conclusion

Infinix 11S have more reasons to consider over Spark 8Pro at the same price point:

• More Megapixels(50MP vs 48MP)
• Higher refresh rate(90Hz vs 60Hz)
• Smoother response (180Hz vs 120Hz)
• More sensors

Similarly, the reason to consider Spark 8Pro is its super-fast 33W charging. In my opinion, You should go with Infinix Hot 11S at the same price point.
