Mediatek, in recent years, had launched many new processors with special features, and more functions than that Qualcomm. Even the company has made a large growth from last two years.
Finally, the company introduced the Mediatek Dimensity 9200 Chipset with many upgrades over the last-gen Dimensity 9000 Plus Processor. This will complete the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 launch on November 14 this year.
Specifications
In the launch event, Mediatek unveiled a number of new features, performance upgrades, camera improvements, and ISP & 5G modem improvements. Moreover, it gets the ARM Cortex-X3 main performance core.

At the event, the company unveiled that the GPU of this chipset is very powerful. And is the first mobile GPU to support the ray tracing feature. Apart from the main performance chipset has been upgraded to Cortex-X3 & multi-performance to Cortex-A715.
While the battery-efficient cores are still the same. There’s an improvement in terms of RAM and Memory with the introduction of UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM support. It has the Hyper Engine 6 for gaming enhancement and it supports only 64bit applications.
Connectivity features
Moving to connectivity options, it supports all the latest algorithms available in the mobile world. There is support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, GPS, USB 3.2 port and more features.
For instance, the WiFi 7 supports up to 6.5Gbps bandwidth transfer speed. Also, it introduces the 4CC network with Sub-6Ghz for faster internet. With the use of 5G Ultrasave 3.0, the Dimensity 9200 can reduce battery consumption by up to 70%
Display & Photography
The Dimensity 9200 supports up to 4K 60Hz display or the FHD+ at 168Hz & QHD+ @ 144z display. It has MEMC, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Color Gamut and many more features embedded in it.
With this Flagship grade chipset, the company introduces the Mediatek APU 690. It gives 35% more performance, 45% improved 4K video efficiency and an upgraded DLA processor.
For instance, it uses Imagiq 890 ISP which is the first ISP to capture 35% brighter images with an RGBW sensor. You can expect around 12.5% efficiency while recording 8K 30FPS videos.
Available Benchmarks
In an early rumour, the Antutu V9 scores of the Dimensity 9200 have been leaked to the internet. It has managed to score around 1266K which is the highest Antutu score yet in any smartphone.
With this, the GPU of this processor has already outperformed the Apple A16 Bionic ( on the iPhone 15 series with a 20,333 top score in the Manhattan test. More Benchmark will be revealed with the launch of Dimensity 9200 phones.
