Asus, a Taiwan-based multinational computer hardware and electronics company, has been making waves in the gaming smartphone market with its ROG (Republic of Gamers) series. The company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Asus ROGPhone 7, has been making headlines for all the right reasons. Recently, the full specs of the device were leaked, and they look nothing short of impressive. The Launch is officially confirmed and it is going to take place on 13th April’23 in India and Globally.

One of the standout features of the Asus ROGPhone 7 is its display. The device sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) flat AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, which is among the highest available in the market. It also comes with up to 720Hz touch sampling rate and DC dimming, which should provide an excellent touch response and reduce eye strain. The display is also HDR10+ certified and has a peak brightness of 1200 nits, making it an ideal choice for gaming and multimedia consumption. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which is known for its durability and scratch resistance.
The Asus ROGPhone 7 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC, which is built on a 4nm process. For photography enthusiasts, the Asus ROGPhone 7 features a 32MP front-facing camera and a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP IMX766 primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 125° field of view, and a 5MP macro lens. The device will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner and face ID for added security.
The Asus ROGPhone 7 will also have a massive 6000mAh battery that supports 65W fast wired charging, ensuring that you won’t have to spend a lot of time waiting for your device to charge. It runs on the Rog UI based on Android 13 out of the box, which is specifically designed for gaming. The device will also have dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IP54 dust & waterproof rating, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C 3.0 port.
The device also features an X-axis linear motor that will provide haptic feedback during gaming, and it is 10.3mm thick and weighs 239 grams. The leaked specs make the Asus ROGPhone 7 a promising gaming phone that comes packed with features that cater to gamers’ needs.
