OPPO A1 5G Launched in China with Interesting Specs

OPPO has launched its latest 5G smartphone in China, the OPPO A1 5G. This smartphone shares similar specs, features, and design with the Realme 10 Pro 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G, both these smartphones are launched in India and Globally. But though there is some difference which is mentioned below.

Specifications

The phone is a mid-range device that offers a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The display also supports a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and has a peak brightness of 680 nits.

The OPPO A1 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, this chipset features an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The chipset also has an Adreno 619 GPU and supports dual-mode 5G connectivity. This Processor scored 3,82,252 on AnTuTu and Single-Core 688 & Multi-Core 2045 on Geekbench 5.

The phone comes with 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be further expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card slot. The phone also has a virtual RAM option that can add up to 8GB of extra memory.

The OPPO A1 5G sports a dual rear camera setup that consists of a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. Both cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture that can also record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.

The OPPO A1 5G packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The company claims that the phone can charge up to 76% in just 30 minutes. The phone runs on ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 out of the box, which offers a smooth and customized user experience.

The OPPO A1 5G also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face ID for biometric authentication. The phone has dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an infrared remote control, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS as some of the other connectivity options.

Color Options and Dimensions

• The OPPO A1 5G comes in three color options: Haohai Blue, Sandstone Black, and Cabernet Orange (Plain Leather).
• The plain leather version is the first smartphone with a plain leather back cover in the OPPO A series, which gives it a premium and elegant look.
• he plain leather version is also slightly thinner and lighter than the other variants, measuring 8.25mm in thickness and weighing 193 grams.

Price and Sale

• The OPPO A1 5G is priced at CNY 1999 for the sole variant with 12GB+256GB configuration, which is approximately INR 23,820.
• The phone will go on sale in China from April 16th via various online and offline channels.

Verdict

The OPPO A1 5G is a promising smartphone that offers a high refresh rate display, a powerful processor, a large battery with fast charging, and a sleek design. There is no word on the global availability of the phone yet. But we will see this smartphone launching with another in India and others Markets.
