Xiaomi has recently launched its new flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, in China. The phone is a high-end device packed with cutting-edge technology and features.

Display
It comes with an impressive 6.73-inch 2K 120Hz 12bit LTPO 4.0 Huaxing Optoelectronics C7 Curved OLED Display, which has a resolution of 3200×1400 pixels. The display also has a variable refresh rate that can go from 1 to 120Hz, thanks to LTPO 4.0 technology. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra also boasts a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and 68.7 billion colors. It is HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision certified and has a peak brightness of 1300nits and an HDR peak brightness of 2600nits. The phone also comes with a new professional primary color mode, which is based on CIE2015 color space calibration. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which makes it scratch-resistant and durable.
Processor
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with Adreno 740 GPU. It also features Xiaomi’s self-developed next-generation heat dissipation technology, which includes an annular cold pump that adopts the design of a gas-liquid separation channel. This helps to form a smooth circulation unidirectional heat conduction circuit and realize ultra-long-distance efficient heat dissipation.
Camera
The phone comes with an impressive 32MP RGBW front camera that can record up to 1080p at 60fps. The rear camera setup is even more impressive, with a 50MP (1-inch, IMX989, OIS, f/1.9-F4.0 variable aperture) main lens, a 50MP (IMX858, f/1.8, 122°) ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50MP (IMX858, f/1.8, OIS) 3.2x telephoto lens, and a 50MP (IMX858, f/3.0, OIS) 5x periscope lens. The rear camera can record up to 8K video and has up to 120x digital zoom. It also features laser autofocus and Leica Summicron Lens and tuning.
Memory and Battery
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra comes with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging (100% charging in 34 minutes), 50W Pro wireless charging (100% charge in 49 minutes), and 10W wireless reverse charging. It also features Surge P2 smart fast charging chip and a Surge G1 battery management chip, which helps in emergency battery life mode.
Software and Connectivity
The phone runs on MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13 out of the box. It also features an infrared remote control, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, AAC 1010 X-axis linear motor, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, and IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating. The phone is 9.06mm thick and weighs 227 grams.
Color Options and Price
- The Xiaomi 13 Ultra comes in three color options – black, white, and olive green.
- The phone is priced at CNY 5999 (~INR 71,600) for the 12GB+256GB variant, CNY 6499 (~INR 77,550) for the 16GB+512GB variant, and CNY 7299 (~ INR 87,100) for the 16GB+1TB variant.
Verdict
Overall, based on the specifications and price, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra appears to be an impressive device with a lot to offer, particularly for users who prioritize high-end features and specifications. Xiaomi 13 Ultra will not launch in India as the company doesn’t have any plans for the Indian region ROM is also not made.
