ASUS is taking a fresh approach to design for the 2024 models, opting for a more accessible aesthetic. Departing from the flashy designs of its predecessors, the ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro feature a square-ish design with rounded corners and flat edges.
This departure hints at a shift in target audience, making the phones appealing not only to hardcore gamers but also to a broader user base.
Display and Camera
The front display boasts a new HDR10 2500 nits peak brightness, featuring a hole-punch camera for a sleeker look. Interestingly, the back display from the previous model is omitted, making room for the iconic ROG RGB logo surrounded by gaming mottos.
The two-tone back design, present in the ROG Phone 7 series, continues with a matte finish for the ROG Phone 8 and a glossy, premium feel for the 8 Pro.
