Google Pixel tablet is in development with some interesting features

Google’s Pixel branded tablet rumors have been circling the internet for several months. Google is not new to this tablet as it has previously released several big display devices like Pixel Slate, Pixel C and the Nexus Tablets.

So, it is the right time discuss some interesting rumors, details and speculations about this Google Pixel Tablet.

Google Pixel Tablet features

There are various patents and rumors regarding this tablet. Google’s previous devices like the Pixel Slate ran on ChromeOS. However, Google has recently launched its new Android 12L OS which is optimized for foldable smartphones. So, the Pixel Tablet can be one of the first devices to showcase this Android 12L. According to Google, this new operating system is optimized for larger screens and built for multi-tasking. So, Android 12L is expected to launch in early 2022.

The information about the tablet’s hardware specifications are not sufficient. However, there are some common features that we can expect from this tablet like front and back facing cameras, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 5G connectivity etc.

Google launched its new Pixel 6 with its own Tensor SoC. So, it is quite obvious that Google may use its in-house chipset in the Pixel Tablet. The Pixel Tablet can have multiple USB C ports. The tablet is also expected to feature stylus support to compete with Apple iPad and Samsung’s tablet range. It is also expected that Google can bring keyboard and other peripheral support to tablet to market it as some kind of “semi-laptop” device.

Price and Launch

The pricing details of Google Pixel Tablet are not sufficient. However, it is quite obvious that this tablet will appeal to people who are looking for tablet similar to iPad. So, the pricing of the tablet should be similar to iPad. The launch date of this tablet is still not clear.
