Motorola Edge 30 5G
Motorola has finally launched the Motorola Edge 30 5G in Indian markets in the launch event with the tagline #FindYourEdge. This device has joined the Moto Edge 30 family after the Moto Edge 30 Pro 5G variant which is the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile.
Motorola claims the Edge 30 is India’s slimmest 5G device and the first one to come with a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. Here’s what we will get with this device.

Key Specifications
Motorola Edge 30 5G is the world’s thinnest 5G smartphone i.e. 6.79mm with a weight of 155Grams. The backside contains the triple camera setup and the front side consists of a punch-hole screen with a 92% screen body rate.
This is a 10-Bit 6.55inchFull HD+ pOLED panel which supports a 144Hz Refresh rate & 360Hz touch sample rate. Moreover, it supports the DCI-P3 colour gamut & HDR 10+ content. Due to the use of a pOLED panel, Motorola Edge 30 5G will be quite protected from regular drops which are further extended by Gorilla Glass 5.
Performance & Battery
For performance, Edge 30 5G sports the Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset which is the first in India to avail of it. It is a 6nm based powerful chipset which uses Kryo 670 cores & Adreno 642L graphics. It is further coupled with LPDDR5 RAM & uMCP storage which gives the Antutu Scores up to 600K.
At the same time, there’s a 4000Mah battery inside Motorola Edge 30 5G which supports 33W fast charging. Since it’s a small-sized battery compared to other market standards but Motorola seems to have well optimization which can give up to 8Hours screen on time at normal usage.
Camera & Others
Moto Edge 30 5G brings the segment’s most powerful camera setup. It features the 50MP OIS primary Sony Sensor which is alleged bu a 50MP Ultra wide which can do Macro shots too. Lastly, there’s a 2MP depth sensor. The front punch hole sports the 32MP selfie sensor.
The Edge 30 boots the latest Android 12 Out-of-the-box which is assured of 3 years of security updates & 2 Android Upgrades. For protection, it has an Under display fingerprint & Faces Unlock features for security.
You will get dual Stereo speakers but don’t have any card slot or any 3.5mm jack. The phone support 13 5G bands, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth V5.2, NFC & More. Motorola Edge 30 5G also has the IP 52 dust water protection ratings.
Price & Colors
- Motorola Edge 30 5G is available in Silver & Grey Colors. Similarly, it is priced at ₹27,999 for the base 6GB/128GB and the upper 8GB/128GB is priced at ₹29,999.
- The first sale will start on 19 May from noon and you can also get a ₹2000 discount if you use HDFC credit cards.
