JioPhone 5G
The largest Telecom company Jio is also known for its 4G device with a very low budget. You guys will be already aware of using JioPhone, JioPhone 2 & JioPhone Next. This was one of the best devices offering 4G under two or three thousand rupees. Moreover, You will also know that Jio has already completed 5G coverage planning for more than 1000 cities in India. So on, the Company may announce the 5G availability from August 2022. So, with the 5G network, we can also expect a new 5G phone from Jio: JioPhone 5G. This device has rumoured to launch in November 2022. Here are its specs.
JioPhone 5G: Key Specs
This phone is targeted to low budget holders. So, we can’t expect much on the Specs i.e even though it has 5G. The JioPhone 5G will include an IPS HD+ panel with a 6.5inch screen size. Although there isn’t much confirmation it could have a U- shaped notch.
Furthermore, the most important factor is its processor. There is a Snapdragon 480 (8nm) chipset present on the phone. You can say it is a little brother of the SD480+ we saw in Moto G51. This chipset offers up to 2.5Gbps 5G speed with SA & NSA band support. Moreover, you will get UFS storage with LPDDR4X RAM.
Battery & Camera
You can expect a 5000MAh battery with 18W fast charging too on JioPhone 5G. Yes, you will get a Type-C port too. Eventually, nothing is interesting in the camera. It has only a 13MP + 2MP camera on the rear side accompanied by an 8MP selfie camera.
UI &Others
Unlike the Pragati OS on Jiophone Next, the JioPhone 5G has powered with a full-fledged Android 11 Go edition. Consistently, It will have all features like Bluetooth V5.1, Wi-Fi 5, GPS. Moreover, you get a Side-mounted fingerprint paired with a dedicated card slot & 3.5mm jack.
While you can expect this device will be supporting a jio sim with any different sim. The Jio sim seems to be compulsory on the phone.
JioPhone 5G: Conclusion
This varied device can be India’s cheapest 5G device. Even though the current most affordable 5G phone has priced for ₹13K-14K. The JioPhone 5G would be priced under ₹10K ( or maybe 12K). Eventually, you will get up to 4GB RAM & 32GB storage in this device.
So in my opinion, everything depends on its pricing. If it launches under ₹10K, the. You can go with it if you want 5G at an affordable price. But after ₹10K, it doesn’t worth much. Though, you can add ₹1K-2K for 5G with cameras & better display too.
