All major issues noticed while using Nothing Phone 1

Recently, the much-hyped phone of 2022, Nothing Phone 1 has been released to India & Global markets. A of users have purchased it and it also looks very decent as the first device by the company.

While many users have reported that the phone has many quality & software issues from the first day of use. It looks quite weird that a ₹33,000 phone has this many issues which will be a bad scenario for the company & Users as well. Today we will look over these issues and give you an overview of the nothing phone 1.

Major issues

We have categorised all the problems you will face into two categories. The first one will have the issues listed that you can get permanently to your device till you go to the service centre. The second category will determine the problem that can be fixed by future updates.

Hardware issues:

1. Dead Pixels around selfie camera: some people noticed a green element is rounded to their punch hole. These are the dead pixels which can also be noticed by any dead pixel finder app on the play store. Since this is a hardware-level issue, it can’t be fixed at the moment.
2. Green Tint on low brightness: Many units have also faced green Tint issues while the user turns the black theme on and stary on dark colours. This Tint makes weird experiences while using the device.
3. Misaligned parts & moisture: Even though the device comes with IP 53 certification but still many users find moisture nearby to the back camera module. Eventually, some units have also faced wrong flashlight placement and the strips are rubbing off.

Software issues

1. Bluetooth Connectivity issue: a person on Reddit indicated that he can’t even connect his Bluetooth earbuds to the device. The phone was glitching too much even after restarting, it doesn’t help him. He has to turn the call & media option off to connect the Bluetooth headset.
2. Laggy while lock/unlock: some rare unit also have lagginess while they unlock or locks the phone. Since it has been fixed by a software update. And no user complaint after it.
