OnePlus Ace Racing Edition
A couple of days ago, OnePlus has launched the OnePlus Ace in China which was further debuted in India with the OnePlus 10R as its name. Now, the company is gearing up with another variant in the Ace series which will be the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition.
This device can be said as a toned-down version of the Original OnePlus Ace and will carry a more affordable price but will feature the same Dimensity 8100 Chipset. And the company has already confirmed that the Racing Edition is launching on May 17 in the home country of China while the Global launch may take place on different dates with different names.
Rumoured Specifications
The Rumours that the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition will pack a 6.59inch LTPS display which may get support for a 120Hz refresh rate. For those who don’t know about LTPS displays, it is a slightly upgraded version of the IPS panel which gives higher battery savings.
For performance, it spots the Octacore chipset with 2.85Ghz frequency. Since we don’t have any confirmed name but we expect that it could be the Dimensity 8100 chip coupled with LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 3.1 storage.
Especially, the Racing Edition looks very similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G that was launched in China. There’s a triple camera housing on the back in which the primary is a 64MP shooter with an 8MP Ultra wide & 2MP macro sensor. The front panel is most probable to host a 16MP selfie camera.
Similarly, it could spot a 5000Mah battery which has unknown charging capabilities. We expect either 33W or 65W Super vooc charging will come with it. It supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth V5, NFC, GPS & More options.
For security, it is aligned with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner & face unlock feature. There will be the latest Android 12 based Color OS running on this phone which may shift to Oxygen OS in Global Variant.
Expected Price & Launch Date
As the company has already confirmed that the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition will launch on May 17. It may get a 6GB/8GB RAM variant accompanied by a 128GB/256GB Storage variant. Moreover, you could get colour options likewise Blue, silver & Grey colours.
