Oppo A series covers the lower mid-range market with a decent price tag. Now It has brought the Oppo A57 4G. In April, Oppo recently brought the Oppo A57 5G variant with Mediatek Dimensity 810 SoC and as the name says with 5G connectivity in China. But now it has launched a new smartphone with the same name i.e, Oppo A57 but now with a 4G version powered by the Mediatek Helio G35 chip in Thailand.
Oppo A57 4G Specification: What’s new
ERGONOMICS :
This Smartphone by Oppo i.e, Oppo A57 4G has 6.56 inches 720 x 1612 display. Unlike its sibling Oppo A57 5G, it has a 60Hz LCD Display with HD+ resolution supporting up to 16.7 Million colors. The device has narrow bezels around the sides but has a slightly thicker chin. Also, it comes with the Water Drop Notch style.
Oppo A57 4G has an approximate 89.8% screen-to-body ratio. The dimensions of the phone are 149.1 mm x 72.9 mm x 7.6 mm and it weighs around 187gms. The brightness of the device goes as high as 480 nits (typical) and 600 nits at max.
SOFTWARE :
On the software front, Oppo A57 4G runs in the latest Android offering from google i.e, it runs on Android 12 along with the inhouse ColorOS 12.1. It is good to see Oppo doing great in terms of software and talking about ColorOS 12.1, we all know how well Oppo has improved its software to be smooth and reliable.
HARDWARE :
As far as hardware is considered, Unlike its sibling, Oppo A57 4G runs on Mediatek Helio G35, a 2.3 GHz, Octa Core Processor which is quite common nowadays in the budget segment.
Going further into core details it is 4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 and for the GPU part, it has PowerVR GE8320 which gives just a decent power for the budget segment SoC.
CAMERA :
Oppo A57 4G has a primary camera of 13 MP f/2.2 and a 2 MP f/2.4 (Depth Sensor) with autofocus. The primary camera supports video recording up to 1080p @ 30fps FHD.
For the selfie, it has a single 8 MP f/2.0 camera. The front camera supports video recording up to 1080p @ 30fps FHD same as the rear camera. The camera also has some features like HDR, Panorama, etc.
BATTERY :
Talking about battery capacity, it features a massive 5000 mAh Li-Polymer Non-Removable battery that is decent enough to last you for an entire day if not more. Unlike its sibling Oppo A57 5G which featured a 10W charger, Oppo A57 4G has a faster charging capacity of 33W which would juice up the device 5000mAh with enough speed.
MEMORY AND STORAGE :
The memory and storage capacity has also been reduced compared to Oppo A57 4G. The device now has 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage configuration. However, it also supports memory expansion up to 4GB but that’s again is no big deal, and supports storage expansion up to 1TB via microSD card.
CONNECTIVITY:
Talking about the connectivity, Oppo A57 4G supports 2G,3G, and 4G connectivity. It also supports VoLTE (Voice over Long-Term Evolution). The device also has wifi and Bluetooth V5.0 support along with A2DP, LE, and apt-X HD. It comes with a USB-Type C V2.0 to charge up the device battery.
MISCELLANEOUS :
The smartphone features a dual sim card slot along with the slot for a microSD card (expandable up to 1TB). It features a 3.5 mm headphone slot. It even comes with A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, and QZSS support.
For security, it comes with Face unlock as well as a Fingerprint sensor on the side of the device embedded with the power button. Sensors on the device include Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass, etc.
OPPO A57 4G: Price and Availablity
As previously mentioned, the Oppo A57 4G is currently only available in Thailand. The Oppo A57 4G is available in a single 3GB + 64GB variant, which is priced at THB 5,499 (around Rs. 12,500). The device is available in the following color options: Glowing Green and Glowing Black. Currently, it’s unclear that other markets, including India, will get the Oppo A57 4G. But if it arrives we can expect the price to be under RS 15k.
