POCO has been phenomenal from the start in terms of launching the best smartphones at the best price. Last month the company launched POCO X3 PRO which has SNAPDRAGON 860 that is literally SNAPDRAGON 855+ under ₹20,000. It was an excellent offering from POCO. In the next month, REALME is going to offer their budget gaming smartphone that is REALME X7 MAX which is also the rebranded version of REALME GT NEO. So, POCO is launching POCO F3 GT especially to counter this offering from REALME. Here, we will see what this upcoming gaming phone from POCO has to offer the consumers.
Design:
POCO F3 GT is actually a rebranded version of the recently launched REDMI K40 GAMING EDITION. As the name suggests, REDMI K40 gaming edition is the upgraded version of REDMI K490, As a result, the camera output will be excellent. The phone is 8.3mm thick and its weight is 205 grams.
Display:
For a gaming smartphone, POCO F3 GT has a 6.67″ fhd+ AMOLED display. This display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. We can enjoy HDR10+ content with 10bit color accuracy here. There is no information on whether the display has any screen protection or not.
Performance:
POCO F3 GT has Mediatek Dimensity 1100 in its heart to run every possible game out there. Because it is a gaming phone, so we will get 2 types of cooling mechanisms here. It has 11540mm² aerospace cooling system with a hexagonal boron nitride aerospace graphene sheet to cool down the device fast. As a result, this device is literally the coolest smartphone in the price range.
Camera:
POCO F3 GT has a triple camera setup. It has a 64MP main sensor, 8 mp ultra-wide sensor, and a 2 mp depth sensor. And, for selfie lovers, it has a 16MP snapper. The primary camera is using the industry’s first ED ultra-low dispersion optical glass lens which actually a 1G+5P Glass-Plastic hybrid. As a result, this camera should give better output compared to other 64MP camera phones.
RAM & STORAGE:
POCO F3 GT which is originally REDMI K40 GAMING EDITION has 5 varients in china. But in India, there will be 3 variants. They are 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 12/256 GB. The RAM quality is LPDDR4X and the internal storage is UFS 3.1.
Battery:
In terms of battery, this phone will sport a 5065 mah battery with a 67-watt in-box fast charger. It has a USB TYPE C port too. The battery will be completely charged in 40 mins.
AUDIO:
A gaming smartphone is useless without a proper sound system. In terms of speakers, POCO F3 GT has Three-dimensional double speakers which are certified by JBL. The speakers also have DOLBY ATMOS certification.
Gaming Features:
Surprisingly, the POCO F3 GT comes with a Magnetic powerlifting game shoulder button attached to the phone which will be extremely beneficial for games. It also has a RAZOR inspired mechanical keyboard app. To feel the game-play properly, it also has X-axis linear motor.
Connectivity & Security:
For security, POCO F3 GT has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also has support for IR BLASTER, NFC, WIFI 6, etc. To protect the phone from accidental splashes, it has an IP53 rating.
Price & India Launch Date:
According to leaks, the phone should come in MAY in India to compete with RALME X7 MAX. And for the price, the expected price of the phone is ₹26,000 – ₹30,000.
