Xiaomi’s Poco M4 has been listed in IMDA as Poco (2201117PG) which revealed its key specifications. So, we are going to look into the details that we got about the Poco M4 and its expected launch date and pricing.
Design & Color
Poco series of phones always offer a unique design to its users and the same applies to Poco M4. It has a matte finish back panel. It can come with multiple color options. Moreover, it is 9.1 mm thick and has a weight of 187 grams.
It has a screen-to-body ratio of 91% with 500 nits display brightness.
Processor
Poco M4 is expected to feature a MediaTek SoC which is probably Helio G88/G96. These are midrange budget processors used in various smartphones nowadays.
Camera
It features a triple camera setup like many other smartphones. The back camera setup is a 64MP+8MP+2MP with an 8MP front camera. As a result, it can take sharp photos.
Battery and Charging
Firstly, the device has a massive 6000 mAh battery. Secondly, it has 18W or 22.5W fast charging with USB-C. Poco M4 charging options and battery are decent.
Storage, RAM and SD Card
It will come in two variants: 4+64GB and 6+128GB. The phone will feature UFS 2.1/UFS 2.2 or emmc 5.1 storage depending on SoC used. It will have LPDDR4X RAM. Its storage is expandable because of 2+1 card slot.
Operating System and other features
The device comes with Android 11. It has a Side mounted fingerprint scanner for security with a 3.5 mm jack and IR blaster.
Launch & Price
Poco M4 is expected to launch in India in January 2022 and the expected price is Rs. 13,000 to 14,000.
Pros & Cons
If we consider the expected price of Poco M4 then its specifications like camera, battery, design etc appear decent but some specs are average. However, we should wait for its launch to make a final decision whether to buy it or not till then we can look into other phones at this price range.
