A fresh report form IANS indicate that two high-ranking directors, along with several other employees, have bid farewell to the realme smartphone brand to join Madhav Sheth’s new venture, HonorTech, in India.

The Exodus from Realme to HonorTech:
Recent developments indicate that Dipesh Punamiya, the former offline sales director at realme, has assumed the position of assistant vice president (AVP) at HonorTech. Additionally, Sanjeev Kumar, formerly the online sales director at realme, has also joined Madhav Sheth’s team in a senior capacity.
Reports suggest that more than 15 realme employees from various departments have followed suit, eager to contribute their expertise to HonorTech’s revival of the Honor brand in India.

Industry insiders anticipate that HonorTech is poised to create another wave of disruption in the Indian smartphone market. Speculations are rife about the launch of a new device from the company, expected to hit the shelves in late August or early September, just in time for the festive season.

In 2020, Chinese tech giant Huawei decided to sell off its Honor smartphone business assets to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co Ltd, based in China. While many believed this move signaled an exit from the Indian market, Honor clarified in 2022 that it had no intentions of leaving the country.
