India’s number one smartphone brand Xiaomi has leaked out some cases and renders for their upcoming flagship killer ‘K’ series smartphone. Redmi K50Series may become one of the best flagship killer devices available in the market. According to the leaks, the smartphone’s main feature is 120 watts hypersonic charging with Snapdragon generation 1 latest flagship processor available in the market. Ok, let’s see further specifications we may see on the smartphone. Moreover, there will be three devices in this Series: Redmi K50, K50Pro & K50 Gaming.
Redmi K50Series: Specifications
The upcoming Redmi K50Series features the same 6.67″ FHD+ super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate on all the devices. Although, there will be a punch hole camera on the front with a 91% screen body ratio. Eventually, this punch-hole screen may be protected by Gorilla Glass. Moreover, the display supports HDR 10+ technology with 399ppi pixel density.
There’s a leaked case for the Redmi K50Series that renders the design. This design is not likely to Xiaomi 12 series launch earlier. There’s a rectangular shape for the camera module containing triple rear cameras with a triangular arrangement. The back will be of glass with a metal frame.
Camera Features & UI
As per the leaked back panel of the device, the camera module easily shows that the main Camera sensor will be 64MP. Although, this will be as Sony IMX686 sensor paired with a 13MP ultra-wide camera and 8-megapixel macro camera.
There will be a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. Moreover, Redmi K50Series will launch with the latest Android 12 based MIUI 13 out of the box.
Processor & RAM/ Storage
While the flagship killer Redmi K50 Gaming sports out the latest Snapdragon Gen 1. The K50 Pro gets Mediatek 9000 Chipset & K50 gets a Snapdragon 870 5G chipset. The SD Gen 1 & Mediatek 9000 are very powerful chipsets based on 4nm while SD870 is slightly less powerful with 5nm architecture. All the devices are configured with the latest LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 3.1 Storage.
Like other flagships, this Redmi K50Series also lacks the support of a 3.5 mm jack and expandable card slot.
The company claims Redmi K50 Gaming will have one of the largest VC Soaking plates for heat dissipation. However, we don’t know what will its size but Xiaomi had said ” It will be the coldest Gen 1 smartphone“.
Charging & battery
All the device has the same battery with the charging speed we have seen on Xiaomi 11i hypercharge launched this week. There will be a 4700MAh battery with 120W charging. However, there will be no wireless charging or USB 3.0 port support.
Extra Features
Redmi K50Series will sport the latest Wi-Fi 6 together with, A-GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and many more sensors on all its devices. For Audio, there would be stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos on all devices.
Redmi K50Series: Variants & Conclusion
As there is much time for the smartphone to launch so so we didn’t get much information about the device till now. further specs will be revealed soon. As of now, this Redmi K50Series may launch in the last week of March(China).
Currently, the Redmi K50 Gaming has been shown out in a 12 GB Black variant with an expected price of 45000 rupees. We can expect all the devices in 8GB/12GB RAM with 128GB/256GB Storage variant. Additionally, The Redmi K50 Gaming could include a 512GB variant too. Overall, the device is very good with the specs it provides. However, Redmi should not put a side-mounted fingerprint at this price segment. The expected price for K50Pro could be 35-40K rupees while the Vanilla K50 can be launched under the 30K price segment.
