Vivo is soon going to launch a new line of premium flagship smartphone, the Vivo X80 series in China on 25 April. The smartphone series is soon expected to launch in India after its Chinese launch.

Vivo X80 Series: Display

X80 will feature 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz Curved E5 AMOLED Display with 2400×1080 Pixel Resolution and 10Hz~120Hz via LTPO Tech. It also features DCI-P3 Color Gamut, 1500 nits Peak Brightness and Schott Xensation Protection.

X80 Pro will feature 6.78-inch QHD+ 120Hz Curved 10-bit E5 AMOLED Display with 2560×1440 Pixel Resolution and 10Hz~120Hz via LTPO Tech. It also features DCI-P3 Color Gamut, 1500 nits Peak Brightness and Schott Xensation Protection.

SoC

Both smartphones will come with Mediatek Dimensity 9000 (4 nm) SoC which has an octa-core CPU with a clock rate of up to 3050 MHz and Mali-G710 GPU with frequency of 850 MHz. The devices will come with a 4300mm² VC Liquid-Cooled Soaking Plate for cooling.

Camera

X80 will feature a triple camera setup which consists: 50MP (Sony IMX866) Main camera+ 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 12MP (Sony IMX663) 2x Telephoto/Portrait camera with 32MP (Sony IMX616) Front Camera.

X80 has upto 12GB RAM which can be expanded up to 4GB via the Virtual RAM option and upto 256GB ROM variants. It will feature LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1 storage.
X80 Pro has upto 12GB RAM which can be expanded up to 4GB via the Virtual RAM option and upto 512GB ROM variants. It will feature LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1 storage.

Battery and Charging

X80 will feature a 4500 mAh battery capacity with 80W fast charging with USB C.
X80 Pro will feature a 4700 mAh battery capacity with 80W Fast Wired and 50W Fast Wireless Charging with USB C.

Security and Software

X80 will feature In-Display Fingerprint Scanner and Face ID for Security, and X80 Pro will feature Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner and Face ID for Security.
