Vivo’s Y-Series will include several low-cost devices. According to leaks, there will be three new variants, most likely the Vivo Y02s, Y35, and Y16. The Y16 in these devices has been leaked to numerous certification sites, revealing all of its specifications.
The Mediatek Helio G35 budget chipset with 4G connectivity will be used in this phone. Since the launch date has yet to be confirmed, it is expected in India. The base variant could cost ₹11,999.
Vivo Y16: Specifications (Expected)
The Vivo Y16 has already received BIS and FCC certification in India, making the launch event imminent. It has also revealed the device’s design and renderings. It will have a flat frame with slightly curved edges and a glossy back finish in two different colour options: black and gold.
The backside features two large camera cutouts, one with a 13MP primary sensor and the other with a 2MP depth sensor. In addition, the front has a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS panel with a V-shaped notch. The notch accommodated the 5MP selfie camera. Furthermore, the device will include numerous photography options such as 1080p recording, face beauty, and more.
The Vivo Y16 is powered by the Mediatek Helio G35 chipset with 12nm architecture. It will also come with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB emmc 5.1 storage. Because the device will run Android 12 (Funtouch OS 12.1), it will have many exciting features such as Extended RAM 2.0, multi turbo, and more.
It contains a 5000mAh battery cell and supports 10W charging via the USB Type-C port. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dual-SIM slot, and other features. The Vivo Y16 weighs 183 grammes and has dimensions of 163.95 x 75.55 x 8.19mm.
Expected Price & Launch
The Vivo Y16 is expected to be released in the final week of this month. It will also be available with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It could also be priced at around ₹12,000. However, more information will be revealed at the launch event.
