The Vivo S17 Pro, the company’s latest addition to the S17 series, has been released in China. The Vivo S17 Pro is the flagship model in the series, which also includes the Vivo S17e, Vivo S17, and Vivo S17T. While the Vivo S17 Pro improves on its predecessors in various ways, it continues the series’ dedication to offering high-end specs and features.

The display on the smartphone is a large 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz 10bit Curved BOE Q9 OLED Display with a pixel resolution of 28001260. The Vivo S17 Pro is powered by a MediaTek 4nm Dimensity 8200 SoC with an Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. The gadget comes with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, with the Memory Fusion option allowing you to extend the memory by up to 8GB. UFS 3.1 storage capacities of 256GB or 512GB are available.
The Vivo S17 Pro’s 50MP (S5KJN1, f/2.0) front camera with Dual LED Flash Light is impressive in the photography sector and enables users to take beautiful selfies. A strong camera system with a 50MP (S5KGN5, OIS, 1/1.56-inch, f/1.88) primary lens, an 8MP (IMX355, f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP (Sony IMX663, 1/2.93-inch, f/1.98) 2x telephoto portrait lens is included on the back of the device. Aura Ring Flash Light is also a part of the rear camera configuration for better shooting in low light. The device’s primary front and back cameras can record videos in up to 4K quality, but the wide-angle and portrait lenses can only record in 1080P.
The Vivo S17 Pro is outfitted with a 4600mAh battery to run the gadget all day. Users may charge up to 70% of their devices with its 80W rapid charging capability in just 30 minutes. The Vivo S17 Pro’s OriginOS 3 operating system, which is based on Android 13, offers a fluid and simple user interface. At this budget, the device’s single speaker for audio output is a drawback, but it nevertheless produces good sound for multimedia consumption.
In terms of connectivity, the Vivo S17 Pro supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. The device’s sleek dimensions of 164.18mm×74.37mm×7.46mm and its lightweight profile of 188 grams.

- When it comes to pricing, the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at CNY 3099 (approximately INR 36,030). The 12GB+256GB variant is priced at CNY 3299 (approximately INR 38,355), and the top-tier 12GB+512GB variant is priced at CNY 3499 (approximately INR 40,680).
Conclusion
In terms of hardware and features, the Vivo S17 Pro is an amazing smartphone. While it provides some incremental improvements over its predecessor, the Vivo S16 Pro, such as an improved display, a telephoto lens in the back camera, and faster charging, many of the characteristics remain the same. These improvements, however, make the Vivo S17 Pro a respectable addition to the Vivo S series. There is conjecture that the handset would be released in India as the Vivo V29 Pro, with minor changes to appeal to the Indian market.
