Vivo X90 and X90 Pro Launched in China with Crazy Specs and Features

The Vivo X90 and X90 Pro were released in China along with Vivo X90 Pro+ with all of its premium specs and features. They also came with the Vivo TWS 3 Series and the Vivo Pad in purple. In addition to the different main sensor between the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro, there is a difference in RAM and storage type, as well as a 50MP Portrait lens instead of a 12MP one.

There are only three differences between the two, but both are reasonably priced. Both smartphones are the First device which feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, IMX758 telephone lens in X90 Pro only, and more specifications and features are shared below. Vivo X90

Specifications

  • The device features a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz BOE Q9 OLED Display with 1260×2800 Pixel Resolution, 1.07 billion Colors, 300Hz Touch Sampling Rate, 100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 1300-nits Peak Brightness, and Schott Xensation Protection.
  • It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200 SoC with Immortalis-G715 GPU, and for cooling it has 4313mm² wide-area vapor chamber.
  • There is a 32MP (f/2.45) front-facing camera. At Rear camera it has a 50MP (Sony IMX866, VCS bionic spectrum technology, OIS) Main Sensor, 12MP (f/2.2, IMX663, 0.6x) ultra-wide angle lens, and 12MP (2x, IMX663, OIS) telephoto lens.
  • It has Zeiss T* coating on the Rear camera lens, dTOF laser Focus tech, and a Vivo V2 chip for processing Images, videos, Frame Rate, and more.

  • It has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which can be expanded up to 8GB via virtual RAM option.
  • It has up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 Storage.
  • The Vivo X90 is packed with a 4810mAh battery which supports 120W Fast Wired Charging.
  • The device comes on OriginOS 3.0 based on Android 13 out the box.
  • To ensure security, the device is equipped with an Optical In-Display Fingerprint Scanner and Face ID capability.
  • It has Dual Stereo Speakers, IP64 Rating for Water and Dust, X-Axis Linear Motor, NFC, and Infrared Remote Control.
  • There is a Blue & Black Color that is 8.48mm thick, while the Red Color is 8.88mm thick, and it weighs 200 grams.

Price and Color Options

There are four different variants available at four different price points.

  • 1st is 8GB+128GB which costs CNY 3699 approximately INR 42,330;
  • 2nd is 8GB+256GB which costs CNY 3999 approximately INR 45,760;
  • 3rd is 12GB+256GB which costs CNY 4499 approximately INR 51,480; and
  • 4th is 12GB+512GB which costs CNY 4999 approximately INR 57,240.

There are three different color options available; Black, Blue, and Red.

Difference for X90

Vivo X90 Pro has only 3 Major Changes as compared to vanilla X90.

  • In terms of Camera, the Pro has a 50MP (1-inch, IMX989, OIS, 1G+7P, f/1.75) Main + 12MP (f/2.2, IMX663, 0.6x) ultra-wide angle lens + 50MP (Sony IMX758, 1/2.51 inch, OIS, 2x) Telephoto lens in Rear Camera.
  • The 12GB+512GB variant has LPDDR5x RAM type and 8GB is equipped with LPDDR5 RAM.
  • It has a 4870mAh battery which supports 120W Fast Wired and 50W Fast Wireless Charging.

Price and Color Options

The smartphone is available in three different RAM and storage configurations at different prices

  • 1st is 8GB+256GB which costs CNY 4999 approximately INR 57,240;
  • 2nd is 12GB+256GB which costs CNY 5499 approximately INR 62,960; and
  • 3rd is 12GB+512GB which costs CNY 5999 approximately INR 68,700.

There are two different color options available for this product, Black and Red.

Both smartphones offer good specs & features at an affordable price. There is a possibility that both devices will be launched in India, but the more likely scenario is that the vanilla variant of the Vivo X90 Pro+ will be launched in Q1 2023.
