Samsung F23 vs Moto G71

Remember the Moto G71 5G from Motorola. It was the first device to feature the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset with the price come around ₹18,999 for its base 6GB/128GB variant. On the other hand, Samsung recently has also launched its Samsung F23 5G with the price of ₹18,499 for its 6GB variant ( after introductory sales). So let’s compare these phones having the price difference of only ₹500.

Display & Build

Even with the Price of ₹18K, both phones have a plastic body with a thickness of 8.44mm. While Motorola felts are very handy with only 179G weight and have IP52 dust/water protection. On the other hand, Samsung doesn’t offer any IP ratings and has 198G weight.

On the front, Motorola uses a 6.4inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a punch hole at the centre. There’s a 6.6-inch FHD+ TFT panel used by Samsung with a 120Hz refresh rate & V-shaped notch for the camera. So, we considered the Motorola for vivid & punchy colours and Samsung for its 120Hz refresh rate.

Processor & Battery

Samsung F23 5G

Motorola G71 5G uses the latest Snapdragon 6nm based 695 5G processor with 13 native 5G bands support. You will get UFS 2.2 storage & Cortex-A78 cores with this chipset. Eventually, Samsung F23 5G was considered a Snapdragon 7nm based SD750G chipset. While this chipset provides similar performance but uses Cortex-A77 cores & has 12bands support only.

Talking about the battery, you will get the 5000Mah battery with each phone. But Motorola has given a 33W turbocharger even in the box. While Samsung has only 25W support which you have to buy a separate charger.

So, we considered the Moto G71 5G as the winner of both sections.

Samsung runs the latest Android 12 based One UI 4.1 while Moto has stuck with Android 11 stock ROM. Eventually, you will get the WiFi 5, Bluetooth V5, NFC, dedicated slot, dual mics, bottom speaker on both phones. While Samsung lacks the 3.5mm jack and has a side fingerprint scanner. While Motorola G71 5G has a rear fingerprint scanner with the Moto logo embedded in it.
