This setback, as Max Jambor explains, arises from OnePlus’ dissatisfaction with the display screens provided by BOE, a Chinese company. Consequently, the launch has been postponed as OnePlus seeks to ensure a more satisfactory user experience.

Resultantly, OnePlus rejected the BOE screen orders and, as per the tipster, will be incorporating Samsung panels into their upcoming foldable smartphone. As per Onleaks report, the launch Originally scheduled for an August 29th launch in New York, the OnePlus Open’s release date has been postponed due to this crucial change. The initial choice of BOE display panels was replaced by Samsung panels, underlining OnePlus’ commitment to enhancing the device’s overall performance. While the new release date remains unknown, the decision to switch components suggests OnePlus’ dedication to ensuring a satisfactory user experience and maintaining their reputation for quality.

Jambor’s insights into this shift shed light on OnePlus’ last-minute change, moving from BOE to Samsung for display panels. Samsung’s extensive presence in the foldable market brings promise to the OnePlus Open’s potential as an upgrade.
