Apple M2 Chips: The most powerful CPU Ever Made

Apple recently pack its M1 Max and M1 ultra chipset to Apple Macbook Studio & Studio Max. Now, we get a strong claim that Apple can soon release 4 versions of its new M2 series chips. It will be presented on 9 Devices from Apple including the iMac.

Apple Analyst Mark Gurman said something exclusively about these Chips including its first set of devices which will power the M2 Chips. Here, what are we all know regarding this till now?

Apple M2 Chip: What to expect

As Apple’s new series of chipsets will be available in 4 Models: M2, M2 Pro, M2 Max & M2 Ultra. It will target four categories from one MacBook Air, one entry-level Pro, two models of the Mini, two models each of the 14- and 16-inch MBP — with Pro and Max chips respectively — and the desktop Pro.

Meanwhile, there’s no info about the successor to the discontinued 27inch iMac or the 24 inch one. Moreover, Gurman claims that Apple is currently testing these chipsets with many third-party Apps. The details come out from many logs by many developers.

For now, it’s almost confirmed that Apple will launch a minimum of two models in the bride of the year, may in WWDC22 which is scheduled for 6th June. It’s also a great leak coming that the M2 series may not give a huge boost in performance. Meanwhile, it will be targeted to increase the overall efficiency of the cores.

M2 Series: Core counts

While the Native M1 chip come with 8 cores CPU & 10 cores GPU, Apple might bring the M2 Chip with the same core count but have increased efficiency thanks to the TSMC’s 4nm process.

The M2 Max gets the whooping 38 dedicated cores for GPU with the 12 CPU core counts. Similar specs are claimed to be more powerful than the M1 Ultra chip which is  Apple’s current flagship chip. Moreover, the M2 Max will get paired with 64GB of RAM delivering the ultimate process

When will it launch?

While the M1 Ultra chip comes only a month ago. We expect Apple will bring the M2, M2 Max on June 6 at the WWDC22 event. Meanwhile, the other chip will get debut later in 2023.
