Today at the MWC 2022 holding in Spain, Mediatek has finally announced its Dimensity 8000 series including Dimensity 8000 & Dimensity 8100. Moreover, the company has also sustained the Mediatek Dimensity 1300 chipset on the board. The leading smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi can be the first with 8100 chipsets followed by Realme, Vivo, OnePlus & Other phones. So, let’s see the crazy specs provided by this chipset.
Core Structure
All the three chipsets launched today are Cortex- A78 for performance & Cortex- A55 for efficiency.
- The Dimensity 1300 has 1x 3GHz Cortex-A78, 3x 2.6GHz Cortex-A78, and 4x 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
- Dimensity 8100 has 4x 2.85GHz Cortex-A78 and 4x 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
- And, Dimensity 8000 has 4x 2.75GHz Cortex-A78 and 4x 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
On paper, all the chipset seems powerful. The Dimensity 1300 will compete with the Snapdragon 870 chipset. While the Dimensity 8 Series has designed to compete with Snapdragon 888 / 888+ chipsets.
Fabrication & RAM Compatibility
These chipsets are made using the TSMC class production process. The 8000 series are built on a 5NM process while the Dimensity 1300 is bonded with 6nm technology. Eventually, the 8000 series features the same LPDDR5 RAM support with a 6400MBPS rate. While the Dimensity 1300 again supports only LPDDR4X RAM limited to 16GB with a 4266MHz rate. Display & Graphics
processor is powerful enough to render 1080P resolution up to 168Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the Dimensity 8100 boast limitation up to WQHD+ resolution support with a 120Hz refresh rate. Similarly, talking for the graphics chips, the Dimensity 8000 series features the same the latest Arm Mali-G610 MC6 offering 20% more battery savings than its alternatives at this price point. For the Dimensity 1300, the Mediatek has boasted an Arm Mali-G77 MC9 9-core GPU for eme performance.
All the chipsets are furthermore optimized by Mediatek Hyper Engine 5.0 technology for the comprehensive suite of gaming-related optimizations such as exclusive AI-VRS, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Hybrid 2.0, plus wireless earbud latency improvements from Bluetooth LE Audio technology with Dual-Link True Wireless Stereo Audio.
