The Chinese Smartphone company Honor is thinking to re-enter the flagship smartphone range. The Company yesterday in MWC 2022 has announced it’s Magic 4 Series consisting of Magic 4 & Magic 4 Pro. The Series brings Many Improvements over the previous model and also brings the Industry’s first 1920Hz DC Dimming level. However, the phone won’t be available in India & Some more regions. So, let’s see some of the specs & Pricing it offers.
Display & Build
The Magic 4 and the Magic 4 Pro hangs with a circular camera cutout with an Aluminosilicate glass back panel on the top. While the Vanilla Magic 4 manages to get a tiny punch hole while the upper model brings a pill-shaped cutout. Moreover, the upper variant boasts up to IP68 ratings while the younger brother has IP54 ratings. There is around 9.1mm thickness of Magic 4 Pro with 209G of weight. The Vanilla model seems 8.8mm slimmer with 199G weight.
At the same time, both models are bounded with a 6.81inch LPTO OLED panel with a 120Hz display rate. Eventually, these models support HDR10+ with up to 1000nits brightness. Although, the Honor Magic 4 Pro brings the industry’s first 1920Hz PWM Dimming Technology on its Quad curved display. There is a 360Hz touch sample rate & an Independent Display MEMC chip on its phone.
Processor & Battery
Both models the ultimate flagship chipset from Qualcomm. There’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 4nm 5G chipset boasted on this device. These chipset pairs with Adreno 730 Graphics & UFS 3.1 Storage and LPDDR5 RAM scores up to a million in Antutu Benchmark. Honor has also provided out GPU Turbo X and Vapour cooling system for better thermal efficiency while playing high-end games.
Honor Magic 4 limits a 4800MAh battery with 66W fast wired charging & 66W wireless charging. While the upper variant Magic 4 Pro boasts up to 100W super fast wired & wireless charging with a 4600Mah battery. The company claims 50Min charging to full the Magic 4 while Magic 4 Pro can charge up to 50% in 15mins. Although, you will get USB Type-C 3.1 port on both devices.
Camera & Other Features
You will get triple- a camera setup on both models. The is a 50MP Sony IMX 766 image sensor with Multi-directional PDAF and Laser AF & a 50MP 122° FOD Ultra-Wide Image sensor. The third sensor includes an 8MP 5x optical telephoto on the Magic 4 with 50x digital zoom. While the Upper model Magic 4Pro goes with a 64MP 3.5x optical sensor with up to 100x digital zoom. Both devices have OIS and a 12MP selfie sensor. While the Magic 4 Pro manages to get a 3D TOF sensor on both sides.
Although, there’s WiFi 6, USB, Bluetooth V5.1, NFC, dual speakers with DTS-X & Infrared port on these devices. While the Magic 4 gets an Optical In-display sensor, the Magic 4 Pro gets an Ultrasonic sensor for fingerprint. The device runs the latest Magic UI 6 based on Android 12. The Google Play service is dependent on the country, where it launches.
Variants & Pricing
The company Honor has provided Black, White, Cyan, Gold colour options for both these devices. While the Pro variants have an extra Orange colour variant too. Although there’s no card slot on either of the phones. These devices have provided 8GB/256GB to 12GB/512GB variants. While the lower Magic 4 is also showcased in the 8GB/128GB variant. As per the European pricing listed, the Magic 4 is priced at £899 ( ₹76,100) while the Magic 4 Pro goes with £1,099 (₹93,600) for the base variant. Also, visit us on Youtube.
