Today, the smartphone company Realme has launched its Realme GT 2 Pro in the Chinese market. this device comes with crazy specs at a cheap price. Realme GT 2 Pro vs Xiaomi 12: Display
Both of the devices come with top-notch displays at this price range. however, each device has its specialty. Xiaomi 12 features a 6.28inch FHD+ AMOLED at 120Hz display while Realme has given out a 6.7inch E4 Amoled display but with QHD+ resolution & LPTO2.0 technology at 120Hz. There’s also a 1000Hz touch sample rate in GT 2 Pro compared to 480Hz in Xiaomi 12.
The brand Realme also has a higher brightness on its device 1400nits vs 1100nits on 12X. Both of the devices have HDR10+ certification. however, GT 2 Pro lacks the support of Dolby Vision which is present on Xiaomi 12.
With the above comparison, we have sorted out Realme GT 2 Pro has a better display quality with a higher-touch sample rate.
Design & Build
For the design, Realme GT 2 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to feature a bio-based polymer design while Xiaomi 12X comes with a metallic frame & glass back. both of the devices come with Gorilla Glass Victus protection & offer around 90% screen body ratio. On the other hand, there’s not any 3.5mm jack port or the expandable card slot present on any of these device
The device is around 8.2mm thick however, Xiaomi 12 weigh only 175g instead of 199g of GT 2 Pro. In the design & build section, we have chosen Xiaomi 12 as the winner.
Processor, RAM & Storage
In this section, we can’t select any winners. although both of the devices feature the same Gen 1 chipset from SnapDragon based on 4nm technology. Eventually, the devices feature the same LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 3.1 storage interestingly. Both devices have VC soaking plates for Heat dissipation.
Battery & Charging
In the battery section, I have concluded two things:
Realme GT 2 Pro has a higher battery capacity 5000MAh with 65W charging.
- Xiaomi 12 have 4500Mah battery with 67W charge additionally. However, it offers 50W wireless charging together with 10W reverse wireless charging under the hood.
So, I have chosen Xiaomi 12 as the winner offering wireless charge too.
Camera & Audio
Both of the devices have a triple rear setup at the back. both phones come out with a 50MP IMX766 Sony sensor as the main camera. however, the Realme GT 2 Pro features omnidirectional PDAf compared to Xiaomi 12. Moreover, the 50MP wide-angle camera on Realme GT 2 Pro has a 150degree field view instead of getting 13MP with a 123degree view on the Xiaomi 12X. The other camera includes 5MP(2.5x optical) on 12 while 3MP microscopic camera on the 2 Pro from Realme GT.
Both of the devices consist of the same 32MP sensor at the front. Additionally, there are dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos present on these devices. In this comparison, Realme GT 2 Pro becomes the winner here.
UI, Color & other features
Both of the devices have Android 12 with their Custom UI out of the box. Although, we get three color options for both of the devices:
- Black, Green, Blue, and Pink on Xiaomi 12.
- Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue on Realme GT 2 Pro.
The Xiaomi 12has many improvements like tri-band GPS, Infrared sensor over RealmeGT 2 Pro. Overall, Both devices have NFC, Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth support.

Moreover, both of the devices have a similar Ram/ storage variant with a 512GB storage variant exclusive to the Realme device.

If we have to suggest any one of these devices buy. We will suggest you buy GT 2Pro having many new features like LPTO2.0, QHD+ display, and 1000hz touch sample rate additionally. Although, it gives better cameras also over Xiaomi 12.
