Especially, for the processor, the last year A15 bionic is still the most powerful chipset present on a smartphone. As iPhone series is launched globally in September every year. This year Apple will announce the iPhone 14 Series rather sooner than later.

This year, Apple can make some significant changes to their series. For the first time, Apple can use a punch hole or pill design in its 14 Series ditching the notch over the years.  where the punch hole could be the camera itself with the pill for the Face ID. A tipster suggested that iPhone 14 Series might use a 48MP main sensor instead of the 12MP. Although, It can bring some low light improvements over pixel binning technology.

The base iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Pro might use a 6.06inch OLED LTPS display. While the Max & Pro Max will stand with their 6.68inch displays with 2778×1284 resolution. Eventually, except for the base variant at 60Hz, all other variants are getting the support of 120Hz Pro Motion Display. Also, it is worth noting that only the Pro Max will have the support of LTPO technology.

iPhone 14 Might Be Powered By An A16 Bionic Chip Using 4nm Process

Processor & Camera

This year, we will have Apple A16 Bionic chip equipped on all the devices. This processor will be the most powerful mobile chip on the earth. It could be based on 4nm/fabrication. While the TSMC is getting some production issues, we would also get a 5nm chipset for the third time likely to its predecessor. However, even with the same 5nm technology, it could be better in battery efficiency & performance.

While for the camera, the base model of the iPhone 14 series could have only dual rear cameras: Main + Wide. While the other models could get triple rear-facing cameras. Meanwhile, Apple can also introduce a 48MP sensor onwards to the Pro (Max) model.

While you can expect that Apple will use this sensor to generate 12MP high-quality images over the 48MP sensor. Eventually, Apple is also removing the camera bump making a hint for no tele photosensor.

Other Specs

At present, iPhone 14 Series has planned for having an e-sim & a nano sim. Earlier, it had rumoured that Apple could ditch the physical sim slot. This seems neither to happen now, maybe it could be introduced in iPhone 15 series.

Another such leak is that Apple due to European’s union rules towards curbing E- wastage. It could likely get a Type- C port instead of the lightning port of Apple. Eventually, this time too, Apple phones just come with a Cable & Smartphone while the Charger will be sold separately.
