Motorola has recently launched a new mid-range smartphone in the Indian market, that is, Moto G52. So, it is the right time to compare this new device with existing Motorola smartphones in this segment like Moto G40 Fusion and see if this new smartphone is an improvement or not.
So, lets compare the specifications and price of these two smartphones.
Design and Dimensions
Moto G52 comes in Charcoal Gray, Porcelain White color variants. The phone has a thickness of 8 mm and the weight of the smartphone is 169 grams. Dimensions of the device: 160.1 x 74.5 x 8 mm.
Moto G40 Fusion comes in Dynamic Gray, Frosted Champagne color variants. The phone has a thickness of 9.7 mm and the weight of the smartphone is 225 grams. Dimensions of the device: 169.6 x 75.9 x 9.7 mm.
- G52 is lighter and thinner than G40.

G52 features Qualcomm SM6225 Snapdragon 680 4G (6 nm) SoC which has an octa core CPU at a clock rate of 1.9 – 2.4 GHz and Adreno 610 GPU.
G40 features Qualcomm SM7150 Snapdragon 732G (8 nm) SoC which has an octa core CPU at a clock rate of 1.8 – 2.3 GHz and Adreno 618 GPU.

G52 features a triple camera setup: 50MP Main + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro with LED flash and a 16MP Front Camera.
G40 features a triple camera setup: 64MP Main + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro with LED flash and a 16MP Front Camera.
- G40 has slightly better rear camera.

Both devices come in 64GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM variants. The devices feature Hybrid card slot.

G52 features Stereo speakers with 3.5 mm jack.
G40 features a Single speaker with 3.5 mm jack.

G52 features 5000 mAh battery capacity with 33W Fast charging and USB C.
G40 features 6000 mAh battery capacity with 20W Fast charging and USB C.
- G40 has bigger battery while G52 has faster charging.

Moto G40 Fusion provides better value for money than Moto G52. G40’s some specifications like display, battery, SoC etc are better than G52. However, with bank discounts G52 can also be a decent purchase.
