After comparing the Redmi Note 11T from Moto G71, we are now comparing with Realme 8S 5G comes at a similar price range. Realme 8S 5G also offers a Mediatek dimensity 810 5G chipset, which we have seen on many devices. Let’s begin the comparison with display & Build.

Realme 8S vs G71: Display & Build
Board devices come with a plastic back with curved edges. Moreover, Moto G71 has Moto logo branding on the fingerprint sensor and has IP 52 ratings. While Realme 8s has added the ‘Realme’ brand name mentioned on the back with a rectangular cut out for the camera. Moreover, Moto G71 weighs around 180g with 8.5mm thickness while 8S 5G has 191g weight and 8.8mm thickness.
For Display, both devices are packed with an FHD+ punch-hole display with a 90% screen body ratio. On the other hand, Moto has a 6.43 AMOLED display with 700nits brightness compared to 6.58nch IPS LCD(600nits) present on Realme 8S 5G.
So in this competition, Moto G71 stands out as a winner.
OS, Battery& Charging
We will see a stock UI-based A11 running on Moto G71 while 8S 5G runs its own Realme UI2.0 based on A11. Moreover, both devices have similar battery capacity(5000MAh) with a similar capacity. 33W sports on Realme device while 30W on Moto G71.
So, we have favored a Tie to this category between both devices.
Camera & Audio
Both devices feature a similar triple-rear camera setup with the same 16MP selfie camera. While on the back, Moto G71 comprises a 50MP+ 8MP(ultra-wide)+ 2MP Macro lens. On the other side, Realme 8S 5G has a 64MP main camera paired with 2MPdepth & 2MP macro camera.
So on, both devices have similar speaker grill downside of the device with Hi-res on Realme & Dolby Atmos on Moto G71. Moreover, the device contains a 3.5mm jack too. While G71 offers a rear fingerprint & center punch-hole, the 8S has a side-mounted fingerprint & side punch-hole.

On the other hand, SD 695 5G has two gen later Cortex A78 which is 35% more battery efficient & have a 40% performance increase in comparison to Dimensity 810 present on Realme 8S 5G.
Both devices have Samer LPDDR4X RAM support with 2133MHz clock speed. While there’s a uMCP Storage on G71 having 70% more sequential speed than UFS2.1 on Realme 8S 5G.
So in terms of processor and storage, Moto G71 won the competition.
UI, Ports & other features
Both devices come with an Android 11 based operating system. Ford security, includes a fingerprint scanner and face lock. Both devices have Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5, GPS. While Moto G71 has NFC support additionally.
. You will get dual Mics, down ported speaker on both phones. On the other hand, Moto g 71 has a dedicated assistant button which is not present on the Realme device.
Realme 8S vs Moto G71: Variants & Price
Although, you will get 6GB+ 128GB variant for both devices while 8S 5G offers an 8GB/128GB variant too at the moment. Moto has priced the phone at ₹18,999 with two color options: Arctic Blue and Neptune Green.
The Realme offers the same Variant at ₹17,999 and an 8GB variant at ₹19,999. Of course, there is a two-color option here also: Universe Blue & Universe Purple.
Realme 8S or Moto G71:Conclusion
It Is a big question, Should you pay an extra ₹1000 for Moto G71 or go with 8S 5G?
So what if you need a better processor, Display, Android-Pay NFC support, or either ultra-wide camera, you should go with G71. While if you need a higher refresh rate or the megapixel of back camera, you can go with Realme 8S 5G.
