The smartphone company Realme has recently announced the successor of 8i, Realme 9i. This device focuses on the lower smartphone market throughout the world. Although, This is going to launch in Vietnam on 10th January. Realme has not announced any Indian launch date at the moment. We are going to see the expected launch date together with its specs for India.

Realme 9i: Design & Display
Likewise, Realme 9i is pretty similar to Realme GT Neo 2 launched earlier. This device will have a plastic back along with a plastic frame under the hood. Moreover, It will weigh around 177g and have a thickness of 8.7mm. There’s a side punch hole on the front with a 91% high screen body ratio.
This smartphone will sport a 6.5inch FHD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, The touch response measures around 180Hz with 500nits brightness. The display has 400ppi pixels density with a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Realme 9i: Battery & Charging
Realme 9i is powered by a 5,000 MAh battery with 33W fast charging. Furthermore, there’s a Type-C port of 2.0 gen with USB On-The-Go support. Although, Very few phones like Infinix Note 11 series are providing 33W charging at this price point.
Realme 9i: Processor, RAM & Storage
The brand Realme has put out SnapDragon 680 4G chipset in this device. This dual-cluster SoC is based on a 6nm fabrication process which looks awesome. For instance, We could get an Antutu score of 230k from this chipset. However, Helio G96 used in Realme 8i is more powerful compared to SD680 in 9i.

The upcoming Realme 9i will have LPDDR4X RAM together with UFS2.1 storage support.
Realme 9i: Camera & Audio
For the camera section, The smartphone will feature a 50MP main camera with two useless sensors (2MP macro + 2MP depth) at the back additionally. Moreover, There’s a 16MP AI selfie shooter at the front.
On the other hand, the phone will come out with a single speaker with a 3.5mm jack for earphone connectivity.
Realme 9i: UI & Other features
The device is going to launch with Android-12 based Realme UI 3.0 in Vietnam. For security, It includes a Side-mounted fingerprint lock, AI face unlocks the device will be splash-proof together with the protection of Gorilla Glass at the front. Furthermore, there will be Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1 with A-GPS on the device.
Launch, Price & Variants
The device is officially launching on 10th January in Vietnam. However, There’s isn’t any official news for the India launch. The rumors say the phone may be launched in Feb 2022.
The device will come in three variants: 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB. The expected price for the base variant is around Rs.12,000.
The rumors teased out the black color variant of the device. Other colors may reveal at the launch event.
