The Chinese smartphone company Realme has launched Realme 9i for the budget segment. At a similar price, Redmi has also launched Redmi 10 Prime with a 12k price segment. Eventually, Realme 9i has priced to ₹13,999 while Redmi 10Prime is available at ₹12,499 at Amazon.
So today, we are comparing these two devices and tell you which phone suits you.
Redmi 10Prime vs Realme 9i: Display & Build
Both of the devices are pretty similar with their glossy plastic panel & bezels. On the other hand, the Redmi 10Prime is 9.6mm thicker while Realme 9i has 8.4mm thickness. Eventually, the device has 191g of weight. The Realme 9i has a side punch instead of a centre punch-hole at the Redmi device.
The Realme 9i has provided a 6.6inch display with dragon trail protection while Redmi offered a 6.5inch display with Gorilla Glass3 & dust& splash protection. Although, there is the same FHD+ 90Hz IPS display equipped at both devices with a 90% screen body ratio.
So, we considered Realme 9i as the winner for providing a slimmer build.
Battery, Charging & UI
Hereby, Realme has offered a 5000MAh battery with 33W charging. On the other hand, there’s a 6000MAh battery with 18W charging present on Redmi 10 Prime. Additionally, Redmi also offers 9W Reverse charging too.
While both devices have Android 11 based custom UI. As Realme 9i is launched 3months later, it will provide slightly more updates to its device.
So, for the battery section, it depends on you to select a larger battery or faster charging.
Redmi 10Prime vs Realme 9i: Camera & Audio
The Redmi 10Prime comes with a Quad Rear setup while 9i has a triple rear setup. Both have a 50MP main sensor with 2MP depth & a 2MP macro. Although, Redmi offers an 8MP ultrawide too at the rear. On the other hand, Realme has provided a 16MP selfie while Redmi 10Prime stucks with an 8MP AI selfie camera.
Both devices have dual stereo speakers at down& up edges. In this section too, it depends on you to select either a better selfie or an additional camera.
Processor & Other features
Here, Realme has provided the latest Snapdragon 680 4G at 2.4GHz with flagship-grade 6nm architecture. While the Redmi 10Prime has an Helio G88 processor at 12nm architecture.
So on, SD 680 will offer about 40% more battery Savings compared to Helio G88. Eventually, Helio G88 will provide around 5% more performance with a generation later cores. But in my opinion, you should choose SD 680 to be slightly better here. Also, SD 680 supports UFS 2.1 storage while Helio G88 is stuck with Emmc 5.1.
Furthermore, both devices have a side-mounted fingerprint, Bluetooth, WiFi 5. While Redmi 10 Prime also give an IR blaster.
Redmi 10Prime vs Realme 9i: Conclusion
Redmi 10 Prime is available in three colours: Black, White & Blue. Realme also offers two colour options: Black & Blue.
As you know, Realme 9i is up to ₹1,500 costlier than Redmi 10 Prime. So it’s confusing which one should we have? So you can go with Realme 9i for faster charging, better selfies, faster storage & a 6nm processor. While you should stand with Redmi 10Prime for a higher battery, more performance, ultra-wide camera & IR blaster.
So if Realme 9i is priced under 13k rupees then you can upgrade to it. On the other hand, there’s are many other options like Infinix Note 11S, Realme 8i & Moto G31 with the same price range.
