Tecno Pova 5G launched – Full Specs & Price here

Tecno Mobile’s new smartphone Tecno Pova 5G has been launched. Its key specifications have been revealed.

Design & Color

Tecno Pova 5G is expected to come in only Black color. So, it is 9.4 mm thick with a weight of 203 grams. Its design looks very similar to Pova 2 if we consider released images.

Display

It has pretty decent display specifications. The phone features a 6.95″ FHD+ IPS LCD display with 120 Hz refresh rate and 180 Hz touch sampling rate.

It has a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. It also has NEG glass protection.

Processor

Tecno Pova 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor which is very powerful and supports a total of five 5G bands (N5, N7, N38, N77, N78).

Camera

It features a triple camera setup like many other smartphones. The back camera setup is a 50MP+2MP+AI lens with Quad flash and a 12MP front camera with Dual front flash. As a result, it can take sharp photos.

Battery

Firstly, the device has a massive 6000 mAh battery. Secondly, it has 18W fast charging with USB-C. Tecno Pova 5G charging options are mediocre and battery is decent.

Storage and Memory options

It will come in only one variant: 8+128GB with 3GB virtual RAM. It has UFS 3.1 storage with LPDDR5 RAM. The device also comes with expandable storage because of 2+1 card slot.

Other features

The device comes with Android 11 with HiOS. It has a Side mounted fingerprint scanner for security with a 3.5 mm jack.

Launch and Price

Tecno Pova 5G comes at a price of $289 (around Rs. 18K to 20K) in global markets. It is expected to launch in India in January 2022.

Conclusion

Tecno Pova 5G has very good specifications in a lot of departments like display, processor, battery etc considering the price point. However, its camera setup and charging options are quite mediocre which makes this smartphone a bad choice for people looking for the best camera phone in budget. Although, this phone is a decent choice for people looking for a good performance phone.
