Realme has finally launched the Realme GT 2 in India which was announced at the GT 2 Pro launch event. This very device gets the price point of ₹34,999 for the base 8GB variant and goes up to ₹38,990 for the 12GB/256GB model. At the same instance, we get another phone from Vivo i.e. Vivo V23 Pro.

Vivo V23 Pro is a camera focused smartphone which gets the price for ₹38,990 for the base 8GB/128GB variant. So, it’s become quite interesting to know which device either the GT 2 12GB or the V23 Pro 8GB model has a better price & specs. Here’s a key comparison between these devices.

Display & Build

• Realme GT 2 5G gets the biodegradable polymer back panel with 8.6mm thickness & 199.8G weight. Eventually, you will get a 6.62inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with an 89% screen body ratio. This punch hole panel brings the 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support with 1300nits peak brightness.
• Vivo, on the other hand, provides Flourite AG glass colour-changeable panel with 7.4mm thickness & 171G weight. It has a 3D curved AMOLED Full HD+ panel with a 90Hz refresh aye. This panel is further bound with HDR10+ certification with 1300nits peak brightness.

So, we get that even providing a lower refresh rate, VIVO V23 Pro feels more premium and provides a better design. Another key point is Vivo gets the little large notch on top of the panel due to its dual-camera setup.

Camera

• Hereby, the Realme has a triple camera setup on the back. It brings the Sony IMX766 50MP selfie with another 8MP UW lens & 2MP macro lens. The front scent is placed with a 16MP Sony sensor under the hood.
• Vivo V23 Pro gets the world’s first 50MP + 8MP selfie camera setup. Besides this, the rear panel is also equipped with the 108MP sensor with 8MP UW and 2MP macro sensor.

So, Vivo wins this camera comparison too.

Battery & Ports

•  The Realme offers a 5000Mah large battery coupled with a 65W superDART charging system. Meanwhile, you won’t get any port for the sd card or the 3.5mm jack. There is a stereo speaker system with Dolby Atmos too.
• Vivo, on the other hand, consists of a 4300Mah battery which gets the 44W Vivo flash charge system. Meanwhile, there is only a single speaker and here also you won’t get any 3.5mm jack or the Micro SD slot.

So, Realme GT 2 5G offers a better battery with faster charging and also consists the dual Stereo speakers.

Processor & Memory

• The Realme offers the Snapdragon 888 5G chip based on 5nm architecture. This is a flagship chipset which uses Cortex X1 core and scores up to 800K in Antutu Version 9. It is also coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
• The Vivo V23 Pro offers the Dimensity 1200 chip based on 6nm architecture. It is also a powerful chip but not much as Snapdragon 888 and scores up to 650K to 700K in Antutu. Meanwhile, you will get 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

So, in terms of processor & memory, Realme GT 2 5G seems better in the segment.

UI & COMMS

•  Vivo offers Android 12 out of the box with Funtouch OS. It gets Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth V5.2, GPS & more options. For security, it features an Optical fingerprint scanner & face unlock feature.
• Realme also gets the Realme UI 3.0 with Android 12 out of the box. Meanwhile, it provides Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth V5.2, NFC, GPS & more options. It has also the In-display fingerprint with a face unlock feature for security purposes.

So, Realme here also seems better with NFC and Wi-Fi 6 support.

Colours

Realme GT 2 5G is available in Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue. While the VIVO V23 Pro is available in Sunshine Gold, Stardust Black. While its colour-changing ability is limited to the sunshine gold variant.

Similarly, There are the same ₹38,990 prices for the GT 2 5G 12GB/256GB model & VIVO V23 Pro 8GB/128GB model.

Conclusion

Since Vivo seems to be much costlier than Realme GT 2 5G. Even though Realme has given some better specs in it. For instance, at this price too, VIVO misses some really good features likewise the Wi-Fi 6 & NFC support neither it the flagship RAM & Storage system.
