Xiaomi is going to announce Xiaomi 11i series with its next-gen 120W hypercharge on January 6. As always MI will unveil its price at the launch event. Generally, the Xiaomi 11i hypercharge is rumored to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ launched in China two months earlier.

Xiaomi 11i hypercharge: Design & Physical Overview

The Xiaomi 11i hypercharge looks premium look-wise. There is a flat plastic frame which is likewise iPhone 13 series. There is a glossy glass back panel. There’s no info about the protection of the backside. The Screen body ratio is amazingly 92% with very thin bezels. There is a very tiny center punch-hole like a flagship phone. The thickness of the phone will be 8.3mm and doesn’t feel heavy while using.

The back camera module looks similar to Redmi Note 11T 5G launched last month. The Device may available in three different colors: Black, Green & Purple.

Xiaomi 11i hypercharge: Display & Battery

The display of Xiaomi 11i hypercharge is going to be the same as in Redmi Note 11 Pro. There will be a 120hz 6.67inch full HD+ super AMOLED display. In addition, The device will have HDR10+ support along with Widevine L1 certification. Correspondingly, The Maximum brightness of the device reaches up to 1200nits.

In terms of battery, the device would be powered by a 4500MAh Li-poly battery. Xiaomi has created much hype with its 120W hyper-charge especially. The company claims it will charge 44 % in just 5 minutes surprisingly and will be full in just 15 minutes. There’s no info about its impact on the battery nor about the decreased life cycle of the battery.

Xiaomi 11i hypercharge: Camera & Storage

While talking about the camera, the phone will feature a triple rear camera setup. The main sensor could be Samsung 108MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor. The other camera includes 8MP wide-angle camera with a 2MP depth camera additionally. Furthermore, there would be a 16MP AI selfie camera. There is a UFS 2.2 storage support on the phone.

Xiaomi 11i hypercharge is rumored to feature a Mediatek Dimensity 920 5G chipset which is a 6nm processor with LPDDR4X RAM support. You can consider Dimensity 920 to Snapdragon 778 5G chipset. The Antutu score reaches beyond 500k.

  • CPU: 2x 2.5GHz Cortex A78 + 6x 2GHz Cortex A55
  • GPU: Mali-G68 MC4 Quad core at 950MHz

This chipset has NAViC Support along with Wi-Fi 6  2x 2 MiMo& Bluetooth 5.2. The download speed can go up to 2.77 Gbps.

UI and Other Specifications

Xiaomi 11i hypercharge is launching with Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 out of the box.

The smartphone will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a JBL powered dual Stereo speakers. Unfortunately, there would be no SD slot. The device will feature a Z-axis Linear motor,  IR- blaster, Type-C port with NFC & 3.5mm Jack support also.

Xiaomi 11i series: Variants & Pricing

There will be three variants of the device. The base variant will come with 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. Although, there is no info about its pricing. The below prices listed are as of Redmi Note 11 Pro+ China-specific price converted to Rupees.

  • 6GB/ 128GB           22,999

  • 8GB/ 256GB           26,999

Should You Consider buying it?

Since there is much innovation in charging technology with a world debut 120W hyper-charge. You can consider buying it for 23k. But there are some cons too

  • Side-Mounted Fingerprint: Many companies had already provided an in-display fingerprint sensor with less than 18k price points.
  • 2 Useless Sensor at back: The 8MP wide-angle camera is not important to realize. In addition, there is no use of 2MP depth also.
  • 4k for just 120W charging: Xiaomi will launch Redmi Note 11 Pro as Xiaomi 11i. There is no difference between Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i hypercharge. On the other hand, the only difference is 120W with 4500MAh vs 67W with 5160Mah
