Xiaomi 12S 5G
As we have already heard that Xiaomi has made a partnership With the Smartphone lens manufacturing company LEICA for their upcoming flagships to feature top-class photography. Xiaomi 12 Pro, which used the Sony IMX 707 sensor become the best while doing night photography.
Xiaomi is taking this up to the next level along with the use of LEICA lenses which are also used by Huawei & Other phones. We find that the Xiaomi 12S lineup could be the first MI Phone to feature that.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Xiaomi 12S 5G has already leaked to the Internet with LEICA branding.
- This series will be the company’s next flagship before the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
- There will be two phones in this lineup including Xiaomi 12S & 12S Pro.
Rumoured Specifications
Since we won’t have any official info about this phone for now. But we find the Xiaomi 12S series is already linked to the IMEI database with model no 2206123SC( 12S) having the codename ‘diting’ and the upper model 12S Pro ith the model no 2206122SC which carries the codename ‘Unicorn‘. The last letter C means the China region.
Remember the Snapdragon top tier 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset introduced recently by Qualcomm, this series is going to debut with the same chip. It is a 4nm based flagship chip alleged with the Cortex X2 cores for performance accompanied by UFS 3.1 storage & LPDDR5 RAM.
Since we didn’t find anything about the display, Xiaomi 12S 5G could also get the LPTO 2.0 based Amoled panel with QHD+ resolution. Similarly, it will support a 120Hz refresh rate with HDR 10+ tech with Dolby Vision.
As per the live image leaked to a Chinese Forum, Xiaomi 12S 5G also carries similar camera housing to the Xiaomi 12 Series but gets the LEICA branding. For now, we wonts have any info about the Sensors, we will update you ASAP if we get any more leaks regarding the cameras.
Ultimately, the Xiaomi 12S lineup will also feature the same 120 W MI FC charging introduced to many Xiaomi phones which will have around 4700 Mah battery capacity and TUV Rheinland Safe Charge.
This series will also get the Android 12 out of the box which will be added with a layer of MIUI 13. We expect this flagship series to have 3 or more years of updates too.
Launch Date of Xiaomi 12S 5G
Since Xiaomi 12 Ultra is already in the line to launch in China in maybe July. We are expecting Xiaomi 12S 5G lineup too can be launched in Similar timings which we will also see in global markets in August or any time in Q3 2022.
