Xiaomi is testing its upcoming offering, the Xiaomi 12T series, which may include the Xiaomi 12T and the Xiaomi 12T Pro (HyperCharge). Its internal testing has begun in Asia and European regions way ahead of its launch. As per reports, it has been codenamed “Plato”.
Design and colour
As per the new design norms of smartphones, the Xiaomi 12T is expected to have a boxier design. It may have an aluminium frame with a glass back. It may come in a classic black colour and a kind of matte or sparkle finish of different shades.
Display
The Xiaomi 12T may feature a 6.7 inch, 120 Hz, 2K OLED display which will provide you with vibrant colours and deeper blacks. It is also an HDR 10+ certified display on which you can enjoy HDR content with ease.
Processor
It will pack in the latest MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor which will compete with the latest offerings of its Snapdragon counterpart. The processor is based upon 5nm architecture, which provides the user with best-in-class performance along with superior power efficiency.
Camera
It may flex a triple camera setup with the main sensor of 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM6, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
The front camera is expected to get a 20-megapixel Sony sensor.
Battery
It is rumoured to get a 5000mah battery pack and along with that comes a whooping 120W fast charger which will give you a full charge within 25 minutes.
Speakers
It may get a dual stereo speaker set.
Other Features
It may also get NFC support and the good old IR sensor, which will make your life a bit easier.
Variants
It will come in two variants-
- 8GB RAM paired with 128 GB of storage.
- 12GB RAM paired with 256 GB of storage.
Not to forget, the RAM will be of LPDDR5 type which will significantly reduce the power consumption.
The storage will be of UFS 3.1 type.
Security and Connectivity
As per security is concerned it will have an in-display fingerprint sensor which will be of optical type.
It will surely have 5G support and will have all the 5G bands for better signal receiving capacity.
It will also have the latest Android 12 out of the box with all its bells and whistles along with MIUI 13.
Xiaomi 12T 5G: Launch and Price
It is expected to launch in the next couple of months, maybe during the festive season in India.
It is expected to launch with a price tag of about (43000 – 47000) INR.
