Back in a week, ZTE tweeted about its next ZTE Axon 40 Series in China which features a world-first 64MP triple camera setup & with a display selfie. This series has finally launched in China on 9 May. There are two phones which were launched at the event: ZTE Axon 40 Ultra & Axon 40 Pro.

While the native Axon 40 is not announced yet. We found a bunch of specs exclusively available with this phone. Although, these devices may not come to India. Here are its specs. You can also see our youtube channel for the latest smartphone & Tech Information.

Axon 40 Ultra model is tuned up with a triple 64MP camera setup altogether with 16MP Under display selfie.
Pro variant starts from ₹35,487 in China while the Ultra model costs ₹57,467 when counted in Indian rupees.

ZTE Axon 40 Ultra: Key Specifications

Talking the 40 Ultra variant of the ZTE Axon 40 Series, It consists of a 6.8inch Curved BOE OLED panel with a 71° curvature. It gives the screen body ratio up to 96% and has an under-display camera. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate & 360Hz touch sampling rate with a 10bit colour depth. Meanwhile, it provides the 1440Hz PWM DC dimming with a peak brightness of 1500 nits.

On the backside of the device, there is a triple camera setup consisting 64MP IMX 787 OIS sensor, 64MP IMX787 Ultra Wide sensor & another 64MP for a periscope. The front panel includes the 16MP camera which is based on one drive technology, MRC algorithm and has the independent Advance UDC pro chip.

For performance, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which is coupled with LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 3.1 storage. Eventually, it provides dual-channel liquid cooling too. Similarly, you will get an Android 12 UI on this device which is based on its own custom UI.

Although, it offers Under display fingerprint & face unlock with an independent security chip for protection. There is a 5000Mah battery with 80W fast charging available on this device. You will also get triple mics, stereo speakers, an X-linear motor & an IR sensor too. Axon 40 Ultra weighs 204G with 8.41mm thickness.

Key Specs of ZTE Axon 40 Pro

The ZTE Axon 40 Pro is a drop-down variant of the ultra model. It also faces similar specs but with some downgrades. There is a 6.67-inch OLED panel which supports a 144Hz refresh rate & 360Hz touch sample rate. It is also a 10-bit panel but has only 1000nits Max brightness and carries a pinch hole too.

You will get the 16MP punch-hole selfie on the front side. Although, the backside is coupled with a quad-camera setup. The main sensor is the 108MP HM2 sensor which is paired with an 8MP UW lens & 2MP+ 2MP depth/macro sensor. Eventually, you will get a 5000Mah battery which supports 66W fast charging.

For performance, it sports the Snapdragon 870 5G chip which is also paired with UFS 3.1 storage & LPDDR5 RAM. This phone also carries similar features as the ultra variant. This device measured with 8.46mm thickness & 199G weight.
