Mediatek Dimensity 930 5G
Mediatek has recently launched their mid-range category new chipsets one is the Dimensity 930 5G chipset. It is the next iteration of the Dimensity 920 chip used in many devices under ₹25000.
This chipset comes with slightly lower core clocks but it features the latest IMG GPU for gaming performance. In the meantime, it gets combined with some upgraded features and is capable to provide higher refresh rate displays & even with more efficiency.
Dimensity 930 5G: Performance
For performance, Mediatek Dimensity 930 5G uses the Cortex A78 cores with 2.2GHz frequency which is less when compared to the last generation. Moreover, you will have 6x Cortex A55 cores as efficiency cores.
In the meantime, it is alleged with the latest IMG BXM-8-256 further combines the UFS 3.1 storage as well as the LPDDR5 RAM for seamless performance.
Display & Camera
Since smartphones always hassle doing low light photography, the MediaTek Dimensity 930 5G incorporates noise reduction engines for photos (MFNR) and video (3DNR) capture. In the meantime, you get the support for a 108MP camera with improvements over 5X to AI performance.
There is support for 120Hz Displays for full HD+ resolution and hence it gets the support from 2K videography too. It has the option for HEVC 10-bit recording with a Hardware-level VP-9 decoder.
Network & Connectivity
With 2CC-CA including mixed duplex FDD+TDD, MediaTek Dimensity 930 smartphones can combine low and mid-band advantages for higher speeds and greater reach. Significantly, you can avail of dual 5G connectivity and with the use of a networking engine, it offers too much power savings.
The only consequence is it doesn’t offer Wi-Fi 6 connectivity but features Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth V5.2 with Dual-band GPS & NFC connectivity. There’s the support for Carrier aggregation even in 5G networks with a peak speed up to 2.77 Gbps.
Conclusion
Mediatek has done a great job with its Dimensity chipsets. The last-gen Dimensity 920 was a very powerful chip even compared to its successor. While the Dimensity 930 improves the 5G connectivity and the Graphics performance. More info will be revealed when it will be used in a smartphone.
