Mi 12 Pro, also labeled as the World’s first smartphone featuring a 12-bit display, have a launch event on December 28, 2021, in the specific region of China. For India, the planned launch event may take place during the last week of January 2022. The expected price of this flagship could be as high as Rs. 60,000 during the launch in India.

MI 12 PRO: Display & Design
Mi 12 Pro is going to be the ultimate flagship of the Xiaomi. Of course, the look can be very premium. This phone will have a glass back panel with a metal frame. The thickness of the device is 8.16mm and weighed 205grams. The screen size is something around 6.73 inches with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The pixel density is 419ppi with an under-display fingerprint sensor in this phone.
The further display features include:
- E5 AMOLED: The E5 is the successor to the E4 which reduces overall battery usage by 25%. This is a Quad HD+ display together with ultra-high brightness of 1500 nits.
- 120Hz refresh rate – the device will come with a super smooth 120Hz display with 480Hz touch sample rate which provides extreme clarity to the user interface when using the device.
- 12 -Bit Display Device: This will be world’s first smartphone with a 12-bit display panel especially. It can support an impressive number of 68 billion colors.
- Dolby Vision: This device also has Dolby Vision technology certified with HDR10+
With this specification, the display could also have an A+ rating from DisplayMate which will be revealed at its launch event especially.
MI 12 PRO: Processor, RAM & Storage
Obviously, this is a flagship device. Therefore, it will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with 4nm fabrication technology. This processor offers 20% performance increase together with 30% battery savings over SD 888+. Antutu’s score reaches 1 billion. The phone will come with a new generation VC cooling system furthermore. This makes the device thermally efficient even after a long playing time.

It will be powered by a 4600Mah battery. Charging will be blazing fast with 120W wired charging together with 50W wireless charging support. There’s an integrated SURGE P1 chip to control to maintain faster charging without much heating of battery. The device can give up to 10W of reverse charging.
Mi 12 Pro will come with a triple rear camera layout with Sony 50MP IMX 707 as the main sensor. Other sensors include Samsung 50MP S5KJN1 wide (123degree) sensor together with a 50MP (2X Optical zoom) telephoto lens. There is tiny punch hole in the front featuring 32MP AI Selfie.
MI 12 PRO: UI & Other Specification
Mi 12 Pro will be the first mi phone having Android-12 based MIUI 13. Moreover, There is a Harmon Kardon Stereo speaker together with the support of Dolby Atmos. For Protection, the front and both are protected by Gorilla Glass VICTUS.
Price, Variants & launch
There will be three variants of the device i.e. 8GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB with a base price of 60,000 rupees. It will have different colors: black, pastel blue, pastel green, and pink.
